As much as I loved this show (it's simply the best Spiderman animation out there still) I didn't understand why they made Black Cat the way they did. If she's affected by the Supersoldier serum like Cap, how come she can turn it on and off? Why isn't always on like Cap's? If her dad remembered the formula, as they claim, it should always be on. Kinda weird that she even has the serum, but ok. I loved Felicia in this show, the moment she turned into Black Cat. Great character!

@Xylarxcode Odds are Felicia would break out and cry if she ever found out, remembering all the times she made things hard on Peter, because she didn't realize he was Spider-Man (the Spider Slayer incident at the party being a prime example) if it was After Morbius came back (or during) he would understand why Black Cat is being so emotionally distraught. After that they would likely be inseperable.

@venomreturnsep10 I would rather see a 20th anniversary special edition where they rewrite some of the episodes so that Felicia/Peter could work more naturally, since the way they wound up doing it would make it akward in a sixth season. There was supposed to be a Sixth season where he goes from dimension to dimension searching for MJ, eventually finding her and having to rescue her from Jack the Ripper who turns out to be Carnage.

@Kansho Alright, that post makes sense, but I see another problem with that. Not on your part, but on the show's part itself. How would being able to turn the supersoldier formula count as improving it? When does Cap ever state that he thinks his powers are a burden that he wished he could turn off? That's right, never. The formula only has upsides. It doesn't make you look different (except for the muscle gain) so you can still lead a normal life, if you so wanted. It's not improved at all...

@Xylarxcode I'm thinking It's an improvement for Kingpin's purposes, since that way he can have a whole bunch of inconspicous people (not buffed up) walking around who at any moment could become super soldiers at the drop of a hat.

I dont understand why Peter Parker chose Mary Jane over her. Why would he do that? He fell in love with Mary Jane at first because she was pretty: Well Black Cat is also pretty if not more pretty! She also has a nice twisty personality. And unlike Mary Jane, Black Cat can protect herself. So Spider-Man wont need to keep worrying about someone kidnapping Mary Jane.

@mohammedrun It's because in the Comics he wound up with Mary Jane, even though that makes zero sense in the context of this show, They wrote themselves into a corner by combining the characters of Gwen Stacy and Felicia Hardy, the result being the best of both worlds. This has the effect of making her the Perfect mate for Spider-Man, since in the original Gwen Stacy well, died, and Black Cat's personality in the comics is far too iresponsible for Peter's tastes.

@mohammedrun Not to mention the fact that Cat in the comics doesn't care for peter one bit, and only likes spider-man, even after she finds out they are one and the same, she still notes a difference in personalities. Mary Jane on the other hand doesn't care if he's Spidey or Peter, she loves him all the same. In this series Felicia has some attraction to Peter, and the only thing that curtails this early on is her thinking he's a coward since he always runs from danger (to become spider-man)

@mohammedrun This resulted in a few things, Morbius being brought in (and later, back in) to get Felicia away from Peter and Mary Jane brough back in (more or less) for the same reason. They also deviated in that Black Cat never finds out Spider-man is Peter Parker, and Spidey never finds out Black Cat is Felicia, unlike the comics. Because if they ever did find out each other's true identities at nearly any point from this episode onwards, then they would probably have gotten married.

Yeah, I watched that show... But the Huntress was not an ideal role for Scott. She came off as too soft - she just plain wasn't bitchy enough for the character. She couldn't sell the "tough-girl" act with conviction. I've seen her in a few other things, and she did well enough. But it would be (bad) typecasting to have her play Felicia. She simply doesn't have the bad-girl charisma in her. Just my opinion, though.
