  • this car doesnt got a computer or abs in it so its a real driver car....

  • 8.2 liter wow i didn't know that

  • He's still mad about the Revolutionary War.

  • Comment removed

  • " I do like it though " Jeremy

  • Do you guys really expect a European car show to give props to an American car and slander their own? I love how he starts up by talking about how crappy the BMW zeta is and then finally reveals that the whole point of dumbing it down was so that he can trash the Viper by saying how it's even worse. They clearly don't understand the soul and meaning of american "muscle" cars. You can't scrutinize all cars under the same track & microscope if you know what I mean.

  • this car has what most modern crazy horsepower cars don't..Soul

  • 8,3 liter V10 and only 510BHP... 510 is what why friends 2,6 liters straight six puts out in his Volvo!!!!

  • @RidersOfTheLostPark "510 is what why friends 2,6 liters straight six puts out in his Volvo!!!"

And a question about "your friends volvo". How many pounds of boost does it run to do it, and on what kind of fuel.

  • jeremy clarkson is funny, i like his show, but sometimes he's a dick! i can understand euro cars but i dont think europeans understand american cars. granted we dont have alot of high performance cars like they do (because of the american attitude towards cars) american performance cars have always been about brute force. i just love all cars.

  • @starrdogchamp1 i think his point is that american car makers are lazy they have such good spec on paper and some amazing engines and then the handling always lets it down. i mean what the point in making a performance car if your not going to do it properly? i take ur point though he is a knob at times haha.

  • @motorola222 point taken. i think it might be a geographical thing also. mid section and southern section of the states are straight long roads with really not many turns. northern and eastern part of the states has twisty roads but.....too populated to enjoy it. yes american sports cars really dont follow through with execution of the potential of the car. i still love that "wanker"(i believe thats the right saying in the uk right)? and his show. lol

  • I want to punch this bias ass hole in the face.

  • 0:27-0:28 nice swirl marks....dumbass owner

  • this is why we love american muscle. because they're motherfuckin uncivilized. fuck civilized gay european cars, they're just boxes on wheels. American muscle is for MEN not pussies.

  • @xXturbo86Xx sounds like something a pussy would say

  • dodge viper srt10 acr is pretty good, even for european standards :P

  • is clarkson really that good of a driver?

  • what series and episode is this from?

  • you gotta love american muscle

  • play driver san fransisco half of the cars dont turn.

  • Would rather have seen the Viper against an M6. V10 vs. V10.

  • we americans dont do turns, we steamroll through everything

  • @onlyfreetastesbetter exactly!

  • You have to realize that American developers could really give a shit less about quality anyway. America is all about the money and fucking people over. Cheap this cheap that, so you can talk all the shit you want but we're really not trying so there's no point in being a dick. Jeremy just really tries to make himself feel better about himself.

  • how can you compare a Viper to an Ariel Atom?

  • @atvkid999 FUN

  • an S65 would eat this car on a track. yes, a sedan.

  • V10 8.4L developed from Lamborghini at the last 80's, with no traction control for real race car drivers... against a 3.2L crap for feeling civilized in congested traffic trying to make an impression in a teenage blonde? COME ON...

Compare a Viper with a Porsche, a Lamborghini, an Aston Martin, a REAL SUPERCAR... not a playboy refined nonsense...

  • @MuerteQuerida

Umm, the Viper in this video is the 8.3L V10, not the 8.4L. Those are a difference of about 100hp. Also, the newer SRT10 Viper, with the 8.4L, has a MUCH greater handling ability than the older ones.

  • @MuerteQuerida mate. your precious muscle car with an 8.3L V10 had a dead heat with a 3.2L convertable. and you say that its a real race car. that racing car just got embarrassed by, how did you put it, "a 3.2L crap for feeling civilized in congested traffic trying to make an impression in a teenage blonde?"

  • the old guy was no match for the stig

  • propaganda, go look at CD lightning lap and you'll see the viper is faster than lambos and ferraris. this pos z4 will get smoked every time

  • zr1 > viper...

zr1 smaller motor, AND more power and faster

  • Jeremy is such a cunt

  • i dont know about you guys but it does look like the viper has its nose out at the finish....just saying

  • waiting for my 392 Hemi Challenger...

  • Like comparing a free runner to a sprinter.

  • dodge viper srt10 acr.. 650 hp v10. handling package. aero package. real thunder. bmw would not have a shot in hell

  • @12valvepower4 so your adding a acr to race against the z4, your obviously braindead.

And for the rest crying that it was a pretty much dead race AND im european, i would still take the Viper over the z4...anyday. It´s amazing how americans shit their pants as soon as a nice car like the viper gets matched with some european and its an even race. Face it, Viper is a raw brute with the looks to go with it, z4 is just...meh. Get over it.

  • corvette zr1. or z06 is my car. big block thunder, handling , light weight. with a blower on a big block.. imagine the power.

  • I love how retarded some Europeans are when it comes to American cars. I think its hilarious how they seriously take Clarksons opinion into account on every car. They really wanna suck his wee wee.

  • I like the end

    the Corvette is my baby

  • Europeans don't get Americans and their cars. The reason the Viper is the way it is, is because Americans like that as much as cars that corner. Look at the Mustang and F-bodies. Neither of which are known for their handling (average to above average handling cars). Yet then we put out cars like the Corvette which can handle with some of the best cars in the world

  • Holy shit - 8,3 liter? Dodge, you're crazy!!! And because of that - I love you!

  • Comment removed

  • just when everything is going well... IT KIILLS you!

  • wait, does he hate the american cars or kind of like them?

  • I hope the new vipers reduce power and more refinement ...

  • Defeats the point

  • i want a corvette z06 427. with a build.. you get 427 power and v8 music. mmmm.

    corvette

  • against the...?

    against the dick???

  • Ugly, and it's a Dodge. PoS.

  • @JagerFrostTroll Beautiful, and it's to expensive for you. Asshole

  • Put simply, I dont WANT a Z4M. I do WANT a Dodge Viper though. Don't care what Clarkson says, I disagree with him on so many cars. Fuck the Z4M!!

  • i would do really bad things for that car...

  • American cars are rubbishhhhhhhh...Caddilac CTS-V is the only one that deserves any sort of respect

  • Man, there really hasn't been a bad BMW ///M car, they are all great.

  • That car is pretty vulgar.

  • But the BMW doesn't have side-exit exhaust....haha it's just not the same! I was surprised the BMW didn't win the race and I would still rather have the Viper. The roaring, crackling, lurching V10 is what makes the car so much fun, not the pinpoint handling and no-drama acceleration of the BMW. As far as having a good time when you drive, the Viper should win hands-down in my opinion. But that's just me. Haha

  • Mr. Clarkson... explain to me why o' why the Dodge Viper ACR holds the record at the Nurburgring for the 4th fastest all time car? Please, if you cant drive, dont.

  • @Robbieifyoucan

He was testing the SRT-10, not the ACR.

    Tremendous difference between the two.

  • bullshit race. bullshit review.

  • Why suprised its 9 seconds slower than an atom? ITS A MUSCLE CAR!!!, sure brits realy do make the best and fastest and urm cheapest track cars that will eat anything round a twisty track but there is something special about american muscle admit it!

  • @MotorsportMonkey Could not have said it any better myself.

  • 5:17 - not EUROPE's (?) finest hour? I thought this car was from Germany. Interesting how the "nazis" or "krauts" as we are still called today by the british become european best friends when it comes to BMW :D

  • "they say its more civilized.... more civilized than what, a plane crash?"

  • It's a competition between the Viper and the Z4, and the winner is.........Corvette. XD

  • "...a big, red, V-10 axe murderer. I do like it, though!" LMAO! XD

  • Comment removed

  • the viper won by a few inches O.o

because the stig was driving the bmw :P

  • 8:37 because American cars don't do turns, they do straightaways. We don't have roundabouts here on the highways, clarkson. That's why, mate, that's why.

  • @redreaper2020 try ACR version... watch record lap in Nordschleife

  • @redreaper2020 Unfortunately for that logic, the Viper ACR-X is the fastest production car on the Nurburgring coming in at 7 minutes and 2 seconds.

  • @redreaper2020 Yeah, I really hate it when american made cars are among the top 5 on tracks as Nurburgring and such :)

  • @redreaper2020 I guess corvette should stop winning road race championships... In the 80's our cars didn't turn. In the year 2012 you can bet your ass THEY ALL TURN. Here's a little American racing history lesson for you. COrvettes beat ferrari's, lambo's, aston martin, etc. /wiki/Chevrolet_Corvette_C5-R

  • @EliteLX my mother drives one of those. they're good cars.

  • @EliteLX I think he's talking about factory cars -.- You can make anything go fast with enough money doing R&D for a race track. Big difference when comparing factory cars around a track factoring in things like price tag etc...

  • @redreaper2020 And you don't have race tracks and drifting competitions and hill climbs and... you get the idea. No excuse not to make a car handle and stop better. That said there's a few american cars I really really like ^^. Top spot AC Cobra (roadster shelby thing), then vettes late 60's stingrays, zo6, zr1, then the svt cobra mustang, viper right after and finally the GT40...the original not that new pos. They'd be in my dream garage

  • @redreaper2020 Oh and add to that list the almighty eleanor! Love that car too

  • the new one will blow off his pants lol

  • You can tell the viper never even gets out of shape in the race... This is completely staged.

  • @BETHELRobbie1 Simply put, this guy hates american cars. He hates america for the most part. The only car I have seen him actually like is the z06 and he had alot of shit to say about it anyways.

  • @DreamsMemories well, there is a lot of bad things to say about it. granted, its a great performance car, but is made of some of the cheapest materials you can find.

  • @BETHELRobbie1 You think they actually do anything for real? Lol

  • @BETHELRobbie1 It did understeer on that last corner at least, did you notice the front wheels strugling for grip?

  • English people (top gear) have never reviewed a American car good. Props to Germans tho for sure!... But england by far makes the worst cars, and always says their car is the best. when there really not.

  • @CSAMRB Mclaren will out run any american car in the market

  • At then end, he became Chinese

  • Rubbish handling terrible car... Well most american cars are terrible anyway....

  • americans gonna hate!!

  • The 03 srt10 viper was running high 7s at the ring back in 2003. Trust me back then averaging 7.50-7.59 wasn't just kinda fast. It was blazing fast. The 2008 viper with an extra 90 hp took that number down to 7.20-7.30 which again is very very fast and the viper in acr form is now sitting at 7.12.13 around the ring and is the fastest regular production car in the world. I've had vette, nsx, rx7 and many others. On my third viper though. The speed handling and exoticness is very addicting

  • @KILLEMALLstreetFILMS Where do you find a 2008 Viper running 7.20 at the ring??? I checked three sites and there's nothing of that sort.

  • 14attack. I owned a 99 viper and currently a 510 hp srt10 like in the vid. Your 96 was a amazing track car in the mid 90s but not so great today. The 03 and up srt10s on the other hand are track monsters. They have world class brakes and handling and have beaten the z06 and r8 on several heads up road course reviews . The days of viper subpar handling and brakes died in 2002. The srt10s changed all that. My 03 is currently 620 hp and has eiback lowering springs on nitro tires and it is superb

  • wow,im fucking stupid.im looking for "kickwagon's" comment and its the 2nd one.

    -_-

  • I'm so glad Jeremy Clarkson, known for his world-class journalistic objectivity, showed a fair and completely unscripted race between a BMW and a Dodge. I know everyone watches races for their entertainment value but this is clearly a scientific experiment he decided to have recorded. If it were not for this, I wouldn't be able to tell which country deserves to exist more than another based on what two cars do on a race track in an entertainment show.

  • @Karoth313 Dude I'm not trying to start an argument, but you must not have watched the race close enough if you think this was a fair race. First off, any professional driver could've taken turns way better in the viper than this driver. Second, ever since the third gen SRTs have come to life, they have destroyed the track. I'm not denying that the Z4-M is a great car, I'm just saying that it doesn't compare to the Viper. It's a staged race

  • @rydrag Clearly you know less than me about cars and racing in general. I suggest you watch the documentary series "Fast and the Furious" and then we can have a real man's discussion on driving technique.

  • @Karoth313 Again, notice how i said I'm not trying to start an argument. If you're gonna be rude, fine. You say I know less than you about cars and racing? Prove it. You have said nothing to support your claim. Also, I do love the "Fast And Furious" series but lets be honest, they are not the most realistic movies. If you want to have a discussion on driving technique then lets do it. When racing, it's more efficient to brake, then accelerate than drift. Do Le Mans cars drift? No.

  • @Karoth313 Does any car that racing on Nurburgring drift? Also, no real race car driver would take a turn so wide. (Notice how I have addressed all of your points. If you wish do have a decent argument and/or discussion, I suggest you do the same)

  • @rydrag I don't think you know who you're dealing with. I've gotten all gold trophies in Gran Turismos 1 AND 3 plus I've beaten Disney's Cars: Lightning McQueen's Desert Dash several times. I'm afraid you haven't backed up your credentials so I can't really take you seriously. Sorry, mate.

  • @Karoth313 ROFL!!! Either you're trolling or you're just a complete idiot. If you really think video games are YOUR credentials, then I pity you. Also ONCE AGAIN you have not addressed anything I said. Again either you're trolling or just stupid

  • @rydrag I see by resorting the 'troll' card (the weakest card) you're admitting defeat. My monocle is still firmly secured in front of my eye. No sweat. I've won many internet arguments (I've got trophies from 2008 and 2010) and I will add this to my victory column.

  • Does anyone here know that the Viper's stopping power is one of the best in the world? and it has a 50/50 weight distribution?

BTW I have noticed that Clarkson does that not only to American cars, but to Porsches too, why? he simply hates them!!

  • @bttawfiq That viper in the video has about 53/47 weight distribution and it does not have the best stopping power...come on its a big fucking crude american powerwagon theres no finesse to it. in a way its very nice to have a big fucking powerfull rear wheel drive to play with but in the other hand you have no fucking handling.

  • @HellSoldyr The Viper 2003-up has indeed very powerful brakes, look it up.

As for the handling, all professional drivers commend the Viper as a great track car, so why are you so sure it has no handling? because Jeremy Clarkson said so? the Viper has to be driven professionally to take advantage of it's capability, this is not the case with other supercars such as the Gallardo LP560 or the Nissan GTR

  • @bttawfiq yup the 2003 Viper was the first production car motortrend tested to break the 100ft distance from 60-0 mph.And this test with the Z4M is such bullshit. If the fatass guy behind the Viper could drive the thing it wouldn't even have been a close race.

  • Whoever is driving the Viper is really crappy. Those wide lines aren't going to get you anywhere in a race.

  • @Rogers1977

    Ever hear of f=ma

  • I just finished watching this entire show The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. It is almost sickening how biased and just plain ignorant he is while hosting that video. Worse yet, people actually gather information from him and think it's concrete stuff. It's no wonder most people can't stand Americans and their products if they're gullable enough to buy into this.

  • Viper wins...

  • Jeremy- "The Viper is AWESOME, but I hate it."

  • if i could ever see that guy in person i would get his autograph then kick his ass because he thinks Europe is the shit were all the shit u little fag now get over it haha

  • 1500 kgs + 8.3 L + 510HP =peace of shit

  • @xakervu isnt it 600hp?

  • Wow he should be a drifter xD

  • Hahaha moon out of orbit

  • Atleast he said the Corvette was good, because it is, its takes dumbs on european sports cars.

  • of course it was staged, he british, theres no way he'll admit something american is better than something european, why do you think every time he reviews an american car he puts so much emphasis on the interior

  • so at the end...was staged or not?

  • No it was stage, look at official track times, the z4 m isn't close to the Viper coupe

  • High drag coefficient, no world class suspension tuning, no where near 100hp per liter, lack of variable cam phasing, valve timing, variable air induction, lack of aluminum forged suspension components but it still gets you pussy though. I'd rather take a BMW M3 any day myself however.

  • AMERICAN CARS SUCK.

  • Odd ole Jeremy didn't buy a Zo6 or a Z4.

    He bought a Viper.

  • I wonder if JC will ever outgrow his childish desire to imagine that "drifting = fast".

  • Not staged just shitty driver for the American car on purpose...

  • Dodge Viper is a piece of junk on whels, comment from an ex Viper GTS owner. thits is a redneck car to the bone, a loud picece of shit with lousy brakes and sudstandard suspension.

    THIS THING EALY SUCKS!!!!!

  • Going round that corner was sick~

  • European car enthusiasts are just mad cause simple American cars beat their faggot computer driven cars lol

  • Acr viper...one of the finest street cars ever made...and compared to European cars...only 100k

  • 51 person did their coming out

  • I believe the SRT10 holds the #4 spot on the Nür. Bested only by to Radicals and a Gumpert Apollo which are magnitudes of price more expensive. Just because we didn't kill a snow leopard and log an acre of rainforest to make the interior doesn't mean it's not good.

  • @the934x4 The Viper ACR is 4th, not the SRT-10.

  • @kickwagon i totally agree that race was such bs viper was wide every time i call bs on that one

  • Its American...DUH!!!!

  • how can they say this is more civilized? more civilized than what? a plan crash?

  • ..." a big red V10 axe murderer!...I do like it tho!"

  • I remember when I first watched this review. It was the turning point for me concerning Top Gear's credibility as far as reviewing cars. Every corner in that race the Viper took very wide. The Viper is routinely commended for its great handling. This race was staged.

  • @kickwagon i agree with you 100%

  • @kickwagon Srry I'm french... what do you mean by staged

    ??

  • @DUBARTIFY Staged, as in "set up", like the BMW was already determined to be the winner, hence the Viper driver taking every corner way wide.

  • @kickwagon okok

  • @kickwagon Wow you are all grown up now and realized what tv show means. Congrats.

  • @GrindMicro Jeremy is idiolized as a car guru. His opinion is highly respected, so you're saying his biased nonsense concerning American cars is okay cause it's just a TV show? Don't be stupid.

  • @kickwagon Mind you this isn't Top Gear.

  • @dude2106 Regardless of the name of this show, Jeremy is a Top Gear host. He's reviewing these cars with the same approach he does with the cars on Top Gear, along with the other two hosts (James and Hammond I believe).

  • @kickwagon That might be true, but the fact of the matter is that Jeremy's approach in this show is NOT the same as the whole Top Gear show, nor the magazine.

You might think Jeremy's credibility is gone, but that is another thing.

  • @dude2106 i have so much trouble finding the clarkson viper vid with a vette commercial at the end, but i always begin my search with top gear. what was this from??

  • @kickwagon Dear boy, you must have your head stuck in a garbage bin. If you were paying even a second's notice. This is not Top Gear. Its Jeremy's own show. Now that you know, get your head in that bin again.

  • @aric0913 Dear douchbag, Jeremy reviews these cars in the same manner on Top Gear. Don't be an idiot.

  • @kickwagon if he's never driven the viper before and doesn't understand it's handling characteristics, it's done. but i'd expect someone new to the viper to understeer like a bitch. i agree with you, i don't think this is a real race. a true racing car driver would learn how to handle any sort of car relatively quickly. at least simply enough to guide it around a track faster than a car with -200hp. so it's not top gear? doesn't detract from the fact that the race is staged. you're all so smart.

  • @SeanMS3 True. I now for a fact that some Beemers come with really sorted rubber as standard, could really be a case of the Viper not having as good a set of tires on? It should have won but the guy was sailing wide on a lot of the corners imo too.

    Has to be tires :o/

  • @kickwagon Sure it's not a fair race, it's set up for entertainment pourposes. Still, that does not make the Viper any less shit, it really is an awful car.

  • Comment removed

  • @kickwagon the viper has always been known for its raw power..not handling. you want a car that is great for handling then look up a GT-R now thats a fucking car with some nice handling.

  • you cant just hop into a viper and expect to be able to tame it, especially someone as bad at driving as jeremy. its not that kind of car, theres not even any traction control. i think the nurburgring time speaks for itself

  • The Z4, aka the poor man's Viper.

  • LOL america need 8.2L engine to make sport fast car in other side bmw hit the goal with only 3.2L engine what a diference

  • @PoorIllyrian BMW does't make super cars, more like sport Coupes and Saloons.

The viper would be plenty fast with a 4 Liter V-6 since it's pretty light.

I think you're just upset that American engines are always torquier than European engines.

  • @ysflightman HAHAHAAHAH 4L is light 4L shows with how much fuel engine work LOLLL

  • @PoorIllyrian Judging by how poor your english is, you didn't even understand my comment. Because what you just said doesn't make any sense in relation to what I said. I was talking about the Vipers weight, not the engine volume.

  • @ysflightman Go play with barbies :D :D cars aint ur best side

  • @PoorIllyrian Not my best side? I own a 1979 Datsun 280ZX which I repair myself, and restored with 2 other friends. I also go out to my local track, BlackHawk Farms Raceway at least once per month.

I'm going to assume cars aren't YOUR best side, and neither is English.

  • @PoorIllyrian Dur! That was more like action entertainment for television than real racing. "America" didn't need an 8.2L to compete with a 3.2L forced induction car. Dodge CHOSE n/a over forced induction intentionally for the Viper because its concept is based on being a roadster. Any clue what a roadster is? It's a big engine with two seats and not much else. No bells/whistles or bling-bling. Can you imagine if they did use a turbo? Forced induction is not some kind of esoteric technology.

  • @thybigballs

Sorry to be a grammar nazi, but its N-A, not n/a. :)

  • @Dasfunkehzeit "Its" indicates possessive. Try "it's" the next time you're being a grammar Nazi.

  • ...against the?

  • aerial atom!?!? of course not! nothing that else that is street legal will EVER beat that!

  • A Viper against a freak'n toy car? are you kidding me?
