i've used cubase sx for years. Now I've found the disc is damaged and i cannot buy SX anywhere. Does my old SX-projects work in Cubase 5?

Cubase 6 can open old SX .cpr projects. You don't need the SX disc to upgrade to Cubase 6, you only need the dongle with the license. Visit our online store or visit a dealer near you to check the upgrade to the latest version 6.

On a specific software. I know it depends from users to users, but is still good to know.

Someone please post how to make your own beats from scratch using the sounds you want like you could on the MTV Music Generator for the PS1. Why is it that someone could make a full song in 5 - 10 min when you knew what you were doing, and it isn't as easy on other programs like Cubase and Reason?

2 gig is the minimum requirement. But I would reccomend you go over if you can afford it. 4 gig is the optimal amount of ram for cubase 4, so I assume it's the same with 5;)

ordered and done. if you checked the site anyone would knew a new one was coming up. Got ordered to the full version. Its an overwelming program at first but if you take your time its an explosive program for any kind of recording really. especially the pitch control and reverb functions make my mouth water. Get an apple and pro logic?? naaahh not a chance. The only downset is the lacking of plug ins for its price but thats all.

I bought Cubase 4 a few months back. It does what I like and I release music. Do I really need this? What I really want is a Roland V-Synth. Might buy this if I get a spare 100 squid otherwise I'm sure I'll live.

I jumped form Cuabe 4.5 to Cubase 5. Have a Motif XS7 and an EX-5 Sampler. When you combine it's power with Cubase5 you get a killer machine that's capable of creating magic sounds.
