I seen the guy in concert when I was a kid back in the 80's. This is the kind of music that makes you feel and think. These studio dubbed no talent spoiled brats couldn't carry a tune in a bucket and they aren't fit to be on the same stage as the legends.

Strange - decades earlier in the black and white TV production, the backup singers messed him up with wrong lyrics and in this one, the bass player is totally lost; like he prepared to do it in a different key than G.

@isoarcars the bass player did fine when the song went to the key of G, it was when the song was in the key of D where the bass player screwed up, never the less Bobby Bare sings just as good as he did years ago!

I wish Nashville (The "Grand" Ole Opry would have a LEGENDS REUNION! I'd luv to see Bobby Bare, Stonewall Jackson, Lynn Anderson, Little Jimmy Dickens, Mel Tillis, Jerry Reed, Dolly would be too big for that I'll bet, but the list could go on & on.

I am a bass player and the guy does miss some changes at first. Anyone doing a gig at a casino is bound to be pro. Perhaps Bobby was sitting in with the band for the first time or there were no charts given out ahead of time and they were winging it.
