  • Awesome, man. I just did this route myself and I loved it.

  • love how u note the car driver is an asshole but you are passing on a curve in a no passing zone... ain't that the pot calling the kettle black??

  • ..yes of course your right. I admit that I am an asshole. Like you, his comment was based upon his assumption that i was passing on a blind curve or a limited sight distance or whatever. If you watch the video you can see quite a ways ahead of this car , no trees, rocks, buses or impediments obscuring my view. This driver was also driving 20 miles an hour under the speed limit. This is a highway not Yellowstone Park. Thanks for your comment.

  • Cool Video. I've been riding bikes for the last 45 years & the Beartooth pass is one of the most awesome roads I've ever ridden (about 10 days ago). SEVERE cold, rain, hail, but it was SO worth it. I Gotta get me a "Helmet Cam"........!!! Going to do it Again next month with a couple of other buddies...... Dave, Alberta Canada

  • there is snow year round in the Beartooths. beautiful place ive always wanted to drive a motorcycle over the top from red lodge

  • double-yellows are motorcycle passing lanes

  • Typical asshole motorcyclist. Doesn't understand the concept of the double yellow line. They should be banned from scenic highways just like heavy trucks.

  • Aww come on, your just jealous cuz your little Prius doesnt even have enough power to roll downhill,or your one of those asshole hypermilers ,which reminds me, I have a video specially in mind for you..... Dennis Learys "Im an Asshole" ,look it up, Im sure you'll enjoy it.

  • My Prius loves the mountains.

  • Cool!, your Prius gets a cookie !

  • Hey, smart car/prius driver, sometimes (heavy trucks need to carry stuff on highways. and motorcyclists are fine on scenic highways you dip.

  • The video was fine. I've been there once and really just enjoy the memories while looking at this. One of my best friends lives in Billings and I'm looking forward to going back up.

  • Great clip. I'm heading there from Cincinnati this summer. will be in Red Lodge July 10th and hitting the Beartooth the next morning. I will post my video at that time. Made a custom mount on my wing that I'm testing now for that trip. see test clips at (Goldwing cam)

  • After Memorial days is when it opens but watch out for sand and gravel from road sanding.

  • This video does not show any of the tremendous views and switchbacks. Just a noisy clip of the backside of someone.

  • ya sorry bout that, maybe you should post your video of the switchbacks?

  • quite enjoyed the video as your riding style is similar to my own; exactly what time of the year was this? any backfiring at these high altitudes? how did you mount your camera? what kind of camera?

  • Glad you enjoyed it, even if its my worst video!!

Took the ride on June 6 06. My bike isnt Fuel Injected so it does pop a bit when descending at these altitudes, near 11,000'.Camera is a Panasonic PV-DC152 mounted to my rear rack with a Bogen clamp and Bogen magic arm. The magic arm has a bit of flex to it thats why you get the bouncing video.I'm working on a video mount that will have some vibration dampening in it.I'll post a new video when I can ride the pass again this spring >May-June

  • you may think this is one of your worst videos but I think this is one of the best motorcycling videos on YT (and I've done a few of my own) - the scenery, not a cloud in the sky, very little traffic, the curves, the other bikes, time of year (still snow), a great riding, nice video length - throw in some music and it's perfect (but what kind of bike are you riding? Honda VTX 1300?

  • Honda?? nah its a 05 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe. Sorry I'd rather hear the bikes , dont care about the wind noise though. I suppose you could sing along with your favorite song ; )

  • nice bike (at least I got the cc right); but anyway it does have a nice sound;

Beartooth is a day's ride away for me (I'm in Edmonton) and I'm hoping for see-forever weather like you had so maybe late May early June this year

  • God I love this road. I driven over the pass 3 times. I wish it were closer to LA; well maybe not, because there would be way too much traffic!!!

  • Awesome, cant wait to get there. Me and four riders are coming from England to ride this rôad. Denver to Cody to Red Lodge to Yellowstone.

  • England?? Welcome to Montana then! I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip. Please stay as long as you like and spend lots of money ,please!
