Oh my God - I haven't seen this in 27 years and it just seems like yesterday, the BBC are masters of intros to programmes, this hasn't aged a day and could even be tweaked used in the next World Cup it looks so contemporary, great music too.
just for the trivia freaks out there this was the opening credits specific to the 1982wc final programme, hence the sole footage of german and italian players/managers.the earlier programmes for other games showed clips from various games/teams
