Lol, yes definitely the next Joe cole - burns past 4 players then shows absolutely no composure in front of goal. I'll look forward to seeing him warming the bench in Joe Cole's seat in a few years time.
He's an amazing talent. I hope after this season, he starts playing more for the first team. I think we need to lose a few of the older players, and bring up some of our youth into the first team.
@hallam619 Have you ever seen the "over hyped" Jcole round up more than 2defenders in one go? How the fuck is he gonna be the next JCole? He'll be much better than that over hyped average player JCole.
Incredible 1991 generation of Lille´s zone. I´m unhappy to couldn´t see that incredible fight with Gael Kakuta in Lens versus Eden Hazard in Lille, the another team of the city.
@AFRIKTODAY You don ' t say the same shit about usa team neither. Freddy adu,Oguchi Onyewu,Carlos Bocanegra,Edgar Castillo,Frankie Hejduk,José Francisco Torres,Santino Quaranta,Brian Ching...
The US is a country of emigrants and people don't get chained in jails or denied jobs for being immigrants or merely because of their complexion. France and Belgium are the most hypocritical Nations in the world in that regard and only call these guys french when it serves their interests. I am only denouncing the hypocrisy, not the fact that they are playing for either country.
@AFRIKTODAY are you kidding ? There are no discrimibation in USA ? go back to earth. the only reason there are less discrimination in jobs is cause of affirmative action.
I doubt you even understand what affirmative action is! I live in the US and I know what is going on here. Every society got its problem, but I wouldn't trade the rights that a citizen of the US enjoys with those of a French. It is not even an issue of "affirmative action" but of general respect for individual rights. In France a cop can search you without any reasons whatsoever for example and if you are an immigrants, you will be victim to more of such abuses.
I never said that the cops in the US are nice people, as a matter of fact they are getting worse everyday! But, comparatively with the rights of a citizen in the USA and France, I much more prefer the US police than the French one. I have lived in both countries and I know what I am talking about.
France is a socialist Nationalist Nation, and in a socialist state, the individuals rights are demeaned. The US, unfortunately are falling down that trap and that's why things are so shitty now!
Personally, I wouldn't play with their National team. But here is the funny thing in France for example: They threaten some of these guys. They tell them that unless they play for france, they will not be aligned in their clubs.
Sayros, if you actually read down a bit further I was talking about Joe Cole's injury, not Kakuta.
And aren't you jumping the gun a bit saying he's got more talent that Ronaldo? I mean after one game where he showed a few good touches and one shot wide he's got more talent than the best overall footballer in the world?
@CrazyShelders I agree that was jumping the gun a bit, but remember this, Ronaldo never start (literally start your career as a pro footballer) in big club like Chelsea and competitive league like EPL, what's more important, Ronaldo probably doesn't have to handle mental preasure of long injury and transfer problem early in his career. Just saying, if kakuta actually pull this off and breakthrough to Chelsea Senior in 1-2 years ahead, he'd be more than Ronaldo, and how is that guy in Madrid :P.
Apologies, obviously I thought you meant Kakuta. I'm glad you used the term best overall footballer in the world, that's kind of how I see Ronaldo too. To me what it means is that he's worked incredibly hard to become a complete player. Talent is the ability to become better han others in less time and effort. You can be the best in the world and not the most talented. No offense Ronaldo fans, I just think Kakuta has more natural talent; doesn't mean he'll be a world-beater in 5 years.
Kakuta is much more talented than Cristiano Ronaldo, that's not even up for debate IMO. It's just that Cristiano has world-class work ethic and pretty much worked harder than anyone else in the world to get where he's at. Kakuta will reach those heights easier, much like Messi, as long as he stays injury-free....and I don't know if the Premier League is the best place for that.
mate im a chelsea fan and i watch gael regularly and even i know thats not true. of course ronaldo is talented!!! for now at least he is definitely the most talented top level football on the planet.kakuta has shown hes easily the most talented player in our team, that much is obvious but physically hes not there yet and his decision making needs a bit of tweaking.plus side is that hes only 18 so naturally he will get stronger, and naturally hell get smarter on the pitch.....
I didn't say he wasn't talented. Don't confuse talent with ability. I think Ronaldo is the best overall offensive player in the world. Meaning, he has all the tools, with world-class heading ability. But what I'm saying is he's not talented as say, a Lionel Messi who even if he's not as physically gifted, he's a more devastating offensive player. Ronaldo's had to work harder than anyone in the world to get where he's at, I think he'd be the first to say so. Things should come easier to Kakuta.
All Kakuta should take from Ronaldo, is his drive of hard work and a love for the weight room because his physique is simply not gonna cut it in the Premier league, no matter how great he is at dribbling.
If you want to talk like you know something, at least know what you're talking about. Kakuta had an ankle injury, it was a fracture. Fractures don't affect a player when they recover, it actually makes the bone stronger. If it was something related to ligaments, especially in the knee...then that would become a problem. What Kakuta has is done and dusted, it's not affecting him as you will see over the coming years. Hopefully he stays injury-free from now on.
@CrazyShelders I just want to say, event star like Garrincha, born with unperfect feet (you can say born "crippled"). But he is still one of the best, which is why I said he'd be better player, he got the skill, he got the sense, and now he even got more mental experience due to the injuries. Physical aspect can be trained, it's what inside and talent that can't. If not, Usain Bolt probably become the best striker in the world beating every single offside trap you throw at him.
thinking of how amazing he is gonna be in a few years time gives me a little semi, away with your nani nonsense this boy will be god, see him against wolves, 18 and looked like he had been playing in the team for years.
NIIIICEEEE the future of chelsea the next messi...he fully deserved to make debut today he simply is "magnific" as french say. Come on make the blues proud boy, tell the world that transfer ban was worth it for you. BLUES IS THE COLOR WE LIVE AND DIE FOR IT.
u dnt know what ur talking about, Ronaldo just turned 17 when he made his debut for united and kakuta is already 18, Kakuta will be a great player, im not sure if he will match Ronaldo or messi when they weee his age but all the same kakuta is sick.
What a load of nonsense, just because he makes his a debut a year later than Ronaldo did and also because he doesn't play for Man-U then he has no right to be better eh?.....some of this clowns are just beyong help.
Kakuta probably would have debuted for us last season but got a double fracture to his ankle and was otu for six months, he was in our CL squad last season but as I said got injured so couldnt play, likely he would have made his debut last season. Anyway that said no one can claim that he will be better or as good as messi or ronaldo yet as they cant see the future but every chelsea fan who has watched him knows he most certainly has the potential and talent to be as good as if not better.
ronaldo was shit wen he first started playing for man u he messed up his step overs and ppl took the piss out of him but he developed into a great player ...thos guy is already a great player so wen he fully develops as a player he will be unstoppable
ur kind of right, and your kind of wrong, kakuta seems more technically gifted than ronaldo when he was his age, but Ronaldo is Ronaldo. Everone new Ronaldo would be an amazing top player when he woul get older. And his tricks showed just how confident and potential he had, at a young age you may do a couple of useless tricks but those trick eventually turn into a tradmark for even the world's best defenders to fear.
im a chelsea fan pretty fucked up at the moment fifa got it in for chelsea y not man u or any other team theres loads of youngsters breaching there contract well i expect it just to be 1 window but pretty heart breaking but i think wilshire is miles better but kakuta is going to be a fantasic player but wilshire when hes around 21 is going to be the best and play for england
as a Chelsea fan, I don't think the next Joe Cole is something to shout about. The next Christiano Ronaldo is better, I mean, Joe Cole's dribbling is okay, not that good
gael kakuta is fuckin godly im a chelsea fan and ive seen him play for the reserves and he is not the next joe cole he is the black lionel messi he is absoloutly godly and unless u seen him in the flesh playin u can say shit!
Joe cole at 18 years of age was one of the most talented players in the world and the most talented english player since gascoigne.
kakuta's style of play is similar to a young joe cole. hes still got a long way to go though till he even gets to that level like as you saw in this video...he needs to lift up his head and make the final pass...not shoot in hope. if he passed it to nouble here we would of scored
I know it's hard to accept, watch the speed in which Kakuta does his dribbling & movements and then go back and watch J.Cole's vids be new or old, and you'll see what i'm getting at. J.Cole was all about tricks which look nice to the eager eyes, Kakuta is more direct with his dribbling, surely you can see that???? Or maybe you haven't watched Kakuta as much?
You'll be lucky if he turns out to have a career like Joe Cole. By the looks of it , he spends as much time out injured as Joe Cole. There are plenty of teenage kids that show outrageous skills like this when they are young but few make the transition to top class football.
IDK y we wanted neymar wen we got him.
i guess its true wat they say, U don't know what u have until u loose it

@CrazyShelders I agree that was jumping the gun a bit, but remember this, Ronaldo never start (literally start your career as a pro footballer) in big club like Chelsea and competitive league like EPL, what's more important, Ronaldo probably doesn't have to handle mental preasure of long injury and transfer problem early in his career. Just saying, if kakuta actually pull this off and breakthrough to Chelsea Senior in 1-2 years ahead, he'd be more than Ronaldo, and how is that guy in Madrid :P.
aaulia 2 years ago
Apologies, obviously I thought you meant Kakuta. I'm glad you used the term best overall footballer in the world, that's kind of how I see Ronaldo too. To me what it means is that he's worked incredibly hard to become a complete player. Talent is the ability to become better han others in less time and effort. You can be the best in the world and not the most talented. No offense Ronaldo fans, I just think Kakuta has more natural talent; doesn't mean he'll be a world-beater in 5 years.
XxSayrosxX 2 years ago
Kakuta is much more talented than Cristiano Ronaldo, that's not even up for debate IMO. It's just that Cristiano has world-class work ethic and pretty much worked harder than anyone else in the world to get where he's at. Kakuta will reach those heights easier, much like Messi, as long as he stays injury-free....and I don't know if the Premier League is the best place for that.
XxSayrosxX 2 years ago
mate im a chelsea fan and i watch gael regularly and even i know thats not true. of course ronaldo is talented!!! for now at least he is definitely the most talented top level football on the planet.kakuta has shown hes easily the most talented player in our team, that much is obvious but physically hes not there yet and his decision making needs a bit of tweaking.plus side is that hes only 18 so naturally he will get stronger, and naturally hell get smarter on the pitch.....
MYLOVELYLONGNECK 2 years ago
but there is no way you can say ronaldo is not talented
MYLOVELYLONGNECK 2 years ago
I didn't say he wasn't talented. Don't confuse talent with ability. I think Ronaldo is the best overall offensive player in the world. Meaning, he has all the tools, with world-class heading ability. But what I'm saying is he's not talented as say, a Lionel Messi who even if he's not as physically gifted, he's a more devastating offensive player. Ronaldo's had to work harder than anyone in the world to get where he's at, I think he'd be the first to say so. Things should come easier to Kakuta.
XxSayrosxX 2 years ago
All Kakuta should take from Ronaldo, is his drive of hard work and a love for the weight room because his physique is simply not gonna cut it in the Premier league, no matter how great he is at dribbling.
XxSayrosxX 2 years ago
@MYLOVELYLONGNECK ronaldo is great, C.ronaldo is a wanker
MultiKrillz 1 year ago 3
If you actually knew anything about either football and/or injuries you would know he won't be as good as he was. Due to the type of player he is.
CrazyShelders 2 years ago
If you want to talk like you know something, at least know what you're talking about. Kakuta had an ankle injury, it was a fracture. Fractures don't affect a player when they recover, it actually makes the bone stronger. If it was something related to ligaments, especially in the knee...then that would become a problem. What Kakuta has is done and dusted, it's not affecting him as you will see over the coming years. Hopefully he stays injury-free from now on.
XxSayrosxX 2 years ago
@CrazyShelders I just want to say, event star like Garrincha, born with unperfect feet (you can say born "crippled"). But he is still one of the best, which is why I said he'd be better player, he got the skill, he got the sense, and now he even got more mental experience due to the injuries. Physical aspect can be trained, it's what inside and talent that can't. If not, Usain Bolt probably become the best striker in the world beating every single offside trap you throw at him.

WAS a awesome footballer. Hes been out now for how long? He won't be the same player.

He is the future, this boy will go places if Chelsea nuture him properly.
darthhideous8 2 years ago 2
u dnt know what ur talking about, Ronaldo just turned 17 when he made his debut for united and kakuta is already 18, Kakuta will be a great player, im not sure if he will match Ronaldo or messi when they weee his age but all the same kakuta is sick.
SamStudio123 2 years ago
thats only becuz kakuta as injured for quit some time i think, but true u cant compare him to ronaldo and messi
gmanskater1234 2 years ago 2
What a load of nonsense, just because he makes his a debut a year later than Ronaldo did and also because he doesn't play for Man-U then he has no right to be better eh?.....some of this clowns are just beyong help.
quietatse 2 years ago 3
Kakuta probably would have debuted for us last season but got a double fracture to his ankle and was otu for six months, he was in our CL squad last season but as I said got injured so couldnt play, likely he would have made his debut last season. Anyway that said no one can claim that he will be better or as good as messi or ronaldo yet as they cant see the future but every chelsea fan who has watched him knows he most certainly has the potential and talent to be as good as if not better.
snigguhneb 2 years ago 3
ronaldo was shit wen he first started playing for man u he messed up his step overs and ppl took the piss out of him but he developed into a great player ...thos guy is already a great player so wen he fully develops as a player he will be unstoppable
hasun3 2 years ago
ur kind of right, and your kind of wrong, kakuta seems more technically gifted than ronaldo when he was his age, but Ronaldo is Ronaldo. Everone new Ronaldo would be an amazing top player when he woul get older. And his tricks showed just how confident and potential he had, at a young age you may do a couple of useless tricks but those trick eventually turn into a tradmark for even the world's best defenders to fear.
SamStudio123 2 years ago
dude did u see ronaldo debut against bolton he took apart there mean defence
one of the best debut ever seen so what are u on about

im a chelsea fan pretty fucked up at the moment fifa got it in for chelsea y not man u or any other team theres loads of youngsters breaching there contract well i expect it just to be 1 window but pretty heart breaking but i think wilshire is miles better but kakuta is going to be a fantasic player but wilshire when hes around 21 is going to be the best and play for england
matbarnes123 2 years ago 3
did he just pass through three defenders?

i agree hes much faster than joe cole nd has more skills so i htink is d next ronaldo.

as a Chelsea fan, I don't think the next Joe Cole is something to shout about. The next Christiano Ronaldo is better, I mean, Joe Cole's dribbling is okay, not that good

No offence, but the next Joe cole? You joking right? This guys will be way better at the rate he's going.
quietatse 2 years ago 2
Joe cole at 18 years of age was one of the most talented players in the world and the most talented english player since gascoigne.
kakuta's style of play is similar to a young joe cole. hes still got a long way to go though till he even gets to that level like as you saw in this video...he needs to lift up his head and make the final pass...not shoot in hope. if he passed it to nouble here we would of scored

marxistsoldier 2 years ago
