I love this thing - nothing else I have heard even comes close - love the way you can slow everything right down to give you lots of subtle texture and resonance to your playing - expensive - but this is top drawer stuff - superb.

The demo here is ok but the Effectrode's website audio samples provide more tone shapes than you get here.

Could this outperform an EH Small Stone, or even a MXR Phase 90?

No it is a much more subtle phaser, good for Pink Floydy kind of sounds. If you want VH style phaser I'd go with the MXR.
