The memory of Cronkite reluctantly capering around in a glow suit as part of a Tron promo, (masquerading as a newscast,) kind of awakened in me when I saw Castor twirling his cane in the sequel. I'm so glad to revisit this moment!

Universe was not a newscast so there was no masquerade involved. It was a prime time infotainment show not unlike what one might find on Discovery or National Geographic nowadays.

"Tron" was a great flik-bold for Disney to come out with a CGA movie back in the summer of 1982...a milestone for them.
