I HAVE A LOISELI CICHLID 3 YEAR OLD READY TO SPAWN MALE VERY GOOD FISH V RARE IF U U LIVE NeAR LONDON UK COME AND TAKE HIM NO CHARGE THIS FISH IS A REAL CHARICTER .LOVE THIS VIDEO GOOD STUFF.
@NorthwoodTimberwolve : normally the filters take care of that, but once in a while I'll go in, together with a friend of mine. The 951 gallon tank goes as follows: I drain 2/3rds of the water with a hose (sucking the debris and algae out), and then fill her up again. The bead filter I flush every 3 months, and the canister filter I'll do every 6 months.
originally I had a lot more java fern in the tank, but then I had to add salt to tackle some diseases. The salt destroyed the ferns unfortunately. I now have a lot of java fern and anubias in the 951 gallon tank: it looks great and grows very well.
this is without a doubt the best freshwater set on youtube well done i am working towards this you are a grandmaster of aqurium design . where do the jaguars come from are both the types you have american ? and what are the dimensions of this tank.? and am i mistaken but have you bred an army of convicts in there. or are the very small fish something else. .thank you for sharing.
yeah also one of my favourite tanks, you should submit to cichlidforum. was that driftwood collected locally? i also love how dark it is, really finishes the riverine setup. Great tank!
I use a pump to drain the water directly into the sewer. On the other end of the tank I insert a water hose. The pump removes the water a bit faster then the hose fills it, but after 20 minutes I have changed enough water, without spilling a drop. I NEVER remove rocks unless I move house.
oo ok. thanxs. don't really understand how you are able to clean without moving anything.. you should make a video of the next time you clean the tank. i'd really appreciate it
370g, and about 15 convicts in all different sizes. 2 older couples and what is left of their their offspring. I notice that as long as they are healthy and not stupid, they can go without being caught forever (as long as there are enough places to hide)
the right side contains a compartment of 20x80x70cm . At17secs into the movie you canb see it best. The water is pumped through the blue filter layers by an ocean runner 3500

How you clean an aquarium without moving stones and snags?????????
Tuuchka 2 years ago
just replace 25% of the water once a week, and remove dirt from the places you can reach. Also, make sure that there is sufficient water circulation.

Nice woodscape, but a little dark.
