I used to not think so untill Dave Mustaine said so, and then all of my friends that play guitar told me pretty much the same thing. Plus, I tried and it is soooo much easier. You just have to take the time to get used to it. But after about 2 months of real guitar if you actually focus on it a s a hobby, it's really not very hard to learn anything on guitar.
@zejtunguitarist10 I don't think you suck at guitar, I've obviously never heard you play so I couldn't say that, I'm just saying that real guitar is easier once you pick up on it. Get used to the fretboard and timing and it's cake. I have messed around with guitar beofre but I don't play. The stuff I did learn though was pretty easy. I learned artificial harmonics, a few chords, and finger tapping.

Slash is my all-time favorite player, and it's sad to say this, but I agree with you. In a way, Guitar Hero sort of ruined Slash along with other guitarists, because people claim to be fans, but they're only fans of the videogame character, not the actual player himself. I think slash is an epic player, definitely has been my favorite and my inspiration since I was a kid, but in that very sad way, GH reverted the youth's minds these day on these great players. Slash is my all-time favorite player, and it's sad to say this, but I agree with you. In a way, Guitar Hero sort of ruined Slash along with other guitarists, because people claim to be fans, but they're only fans of the videogame character, not the actual player himself. I think slash is an epic player, definitely has been my favorite and my inspiration since I was a kid, but in that very sad way, GH reverted the youth's minds these day on these great players. I bet half of them dont know Wilde.

You need to mention, vai, satriani, beckerm, friedman, michelangelo, loomis, Razombek and more, if you want to state guitarists prooving something over slash and his harmonic blues scales.
On the other hand, what do you know about marc suicmez when he frets his skills on a expressive guitar freestyle basis. Nothing. I can mention alot of death metal bands i find more attractice when it comes to technical songwriting.

You'd do well to remember that he's one of the most respected guitarists of all time and if you think you're such a damn good guitarist, why don't you go out there and make songs of your own and THEN we'll see if you're as good as you pretend to be. Also, Slash doesn't have an afro and that ''puffy hat'' is called a top hat and even though they make him easily recognizable, there's much more to him than that.
