This is not to the direction of the musical, I'm in the production at the moment and Rolf lets them go according to the script. Why did you copy the movie instead? I'm curious about the choice because I like either ending, though I do feel that (as I'm playing Liesl) the ending where Rolf lets them go is a lot more poignant and tense

@TalentDevelopmentP There has been a lot of controversy about the different versions of TSOM available. There are different scripts and, according to the script we used, Rolf let the Von Trapp family go free. We did not alter the script at all, as that would be illegal.Different scripts, different copyrights, different end results.

I wish the ending with rolfe could stay consistent, it never does. he either does or dosn't turn the von trapps in at the end. originally in the stage play he let's them go.

That wasn't the best night of the four, but it was high up there!!!!!!!!! It amazes me that you can get this kind of sound from high school girls who never sang together! :-)
