The reason we even have positive terms like "gay" is because we fought for people calling us "gay" instead of "faggot" and "homosexual" the latter which used to be a term to denote a disease when it was invented. Where I live (San Francisco) people don't call people "homos" in a derogatory way, and I know people are capable of this much respect elsewhere. So I will fight until people's ignorance and disrespect is diminished.
