Love this video!!!! (Currently pregnant with my 3rd and due in jan) the 1st cry the baby makes always makes me tear up. Good job guys awesome birth so glad u had awesome support.
not gonna lie, this looks pretty erotic and while I know stuff like this statement will cause people to get angry, I'm thinking that childbirth should embrace a continued sensuality that caused this conception in the first place.
tl;dr? intimacy>sex>conception>childbirth.
What the hell is wrong with humans trying purposely to stop the flow of intimacy that sex first started?
this is so beautiful!!! what a priceless, perfect gift for your child to enter the world in such peace, and what a special moment you have to remember for the rest of your lives. way to go mama! and well done daddy catching your little man!!!
Que tara é essa que vocês mulheres optam por ter parto vaginal em casa, na água, enfim é muita dorrrrrr desnecessária!!!! Porque não a cesária ou então fazer o parto normal em um ambiente hospitalar tão + seguro!!!!

I just want to know why the father is in the water too? With the blood, feces, etc. Is that hygenic? Why would the dad want to float around in that stuff? I am not trying to make a rude comment. I genuinely want to know the answer.
*giggle* it's not for everyone, I guess. As I recall from Family-Creation 101, the beginning of the 9 month process is also a bit messy... so he might as well be in the water to help finish the job, massage her back and the birth canal opening so it won't tear etc. The breathing here reminds me of Bradley husband-coached birthing (which didn't particularly require waterbirth but they supported/complimented it.). He can always drain water & bathe with fresh clean water afterward, to clean up.
@AngryOpiumWhore He is there to support the mother. There is not much blood or feces when a woman gives birth. It really is not that dirty of an experience. All that really comes out is the fluid the baby has been living in. We all spend nine months living in the same fluid and many of us do not consider that gross or unhygienic. He is just there to support his partner and partake in this beautiful experience.
Watching this is relaxing me! It's so quiet and calm, I can see how it would relax mom enough to enjoy the true meaning of this blessed event. It's truly wonderful that she was allowed to birth at her own pace rather than being instructed.
amazingly beautiful.....bringing a new life in this world and the way your husband was assisting...omg that's just wonderful. Must have bonded u guys 10 times more(if any was left that is). All the best for this lovely family.
In response to frittatta's comment, hypnobirthing does not make you unaware. Hypnosis is simply a state of complete relaxation, the mother is in this video is in a completely relaxed and aware state. I had a wonderful expireance in my hypnobirhing class and am looking forward to laboring with the techniques I learned in July. I fully recamend looking into the course.
In fact, hypnobirthing mom's are in an increased state of awareness. They are certainly not out-of-it...they are just relaxed and completely trusting their body to work the way it should. I think this was an amazing video!
WOW! So beautiful! I think I am going to look into the hypnobirthing course now, I never knew what to expect from it until now and hope my birth the end of the year is just as calm and beautiful as yours:) Thank you for sharing!
i was drunk while viewing. i meant to say that the two (couple in the tub) had a strong bond. my wife kicked me out of the delivery room and called me back in repeatedly.
from what ive seen on youtube about waterbirths, it looks like it hurts less. i cry if i get a papercut or if i pull a muscle. i hope this the better way to have a baby. i am looking more into it. we dont have any kids yet. probably in the next few years. i dont like hospitals and dont really want some stranger or dr down there looking at me. im sure im not the only one that thinks that way. thanks for sharing ur birth. im so happy for you and ur family! so beautiful!
mine still hurt, but it was totally wonderful, and I didnt tear at all despite having a giant baby! (10 lbs). I didnt do hypnobirthing because I felt it was important to be aware of what I was doing. I highly recommend water birth and home birth. it's great.

i'm sorry, water births look like the best way to do it and all, but if my husband wanted to be in the tub with me to catch the baby i would be a little weirded out.
What a beautiful calm birth, I have completed the hypnobirthing course, currently I'm 37weeks and I am hoping for a birth just like yours. Congratulations.
ohh yes, i had pain...you can't tell in the video, but i had back labor the whole time, which SUCKED. but i used some self-hypnosis and breathing techniques and pretty much zoned out the whole time which is why i was able to stay so relaxed :)
Wow, I'm deeply impressed by your calmness. I had back labor at my first birth and indeed that sucks big time. I made a lot of noise during that period (I delivered at home, labor mostly in the shower, it wasn't necessary to tell them I gave birth that day ;-)
Wish I had known about hypnobirthing during my first pregnancy!

Negative attitude + ignorance + no support = Negative birth experience.
Positive attitude + education + support = Positive birth experience.
God created female bodies to have babies. Pro-creation is our sole physiological purpose. There could be nothing more natural and fantasic!
I have had TWO home births. Every woman deserves a midwife!!!
