Thanks! I really appreciate you taking the time out to display and navigate all the popular dock systems! That was very thoughtful of you! Now I can pick and choose which one I like without downloading all three + on my computer! <3
Heey . Could I know how you disabled or what you used for the bar down below to be hidden ? Like when you minimize a window , it stays at the bottom bar . Thanks :D
@MicroHelper Alright , I`ll add you & do you know any information on the updated one ? Like any features, same or differences ? I already have windows 7 . So I`m looking for something different . Also I`ll be looking forward to that video . :D
@MicroHelper aw, loll . & which dock do you use to get the 3D effect when you change windows . c: not really sure how to explain it but it`s in the video .
One thing to know if you're an idiot (it took me 20min to figure this out) - to actually get the dock at the bottom, you have to enable the "Docky" theme in the Appearance tab.. this is not on by default :) Good video overall for the comparison though.
Great video! You helped alot. I have one question though. I noticed your windows were slightly transparent. How did you get that? Was it a theme pack or something? If you could tell me this I would really appreciate it. Thanks (:
hey pal I installed gnome do, but when I open it, theres no bar down in the screen, even I activated the "extras" effects, what can be wrong? how is it configurated??
Hello! I am running Xubuntu 9.10 and when I installed compiz it didn't override the default XFCE windows manager. Any ideas on how to get it going I tried typing "compiz --replace" but it was a no go. As for your issues with Cario Dock, open it without OpenGL and it should be fine.
GTK Record . It's free on Ubuntu Software Center . I just save it in my C Drive . And convert it with Any Video Converter to an 'AVI' Format. And edit it and render it in HD in Camtasia Studio 6
Haha I know ! xDD . I could finally render . Cause before my computer will fail and turn off cause it's using so much power to rendering . And It was Over Heating and like... I needed a new Power Supply :( . It's only 300 Watts. And I have a lot of stuff hooked up to it . lol .
But now it's good cause i got a program to boost the fan to cool the computer . :D
No ... before lol. Now I upgraded and it's working perfectly fine now with 4GB's of RAM . 512 MB Graphics Card. Wooot! . 32 bit though. But I heard 64 bit programs work faster. But hardly that much supported for it .
Not necessarily, you might want to look into 64-bit architecture before saying stuff like that. There are reasons people prefer 32-bit OS's over 64-bit OS's for servers.
I'm running a Ubuntu 64 Bit Version . And it's running fine . No Problems. Maybe casue you upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 . Get a fresh download and install from the site.
My point was that OS's based around 32-bit architecture use a lot less system resources than their 64-bit architecture counterparts. This is why you only see major improvements on higher end systems with 64-bit vs. 32-bit architecture. This is also one of the reasons why you see a lot of non-production workhorse servers still running 32-bit linux distros.
My original comment was not a statement or opinion based on something I couldn't get working. In fact, quite the opposite.
Yep a free OS! . Simliar to MAC but free. The downside is . Adobe doesn't work for it. And hardly that much computability with Windows programs . But there is ways to make Windows Applications to work with Linux.
But to Complicated and hard with all the codes and terminals. Completely different from Windows XP, Vista, and 7
there r ways to get Adobe to work on linux now lol...and btw I got my YT acct back...notice its DarkRage4 =D haha fuck that hacker...he can't take me down :D

@FluffieRice Haha, FIRST. What dock are you using in the first place?
Gnome do?
MicroHelper 1 year ago
@MicroHelper Yes o; I`m using Gnome do .
FluffieRice 1 year ago
@FluffieRice Oh, haha. I'm gonna do a remake of this video. Clearer Audio & the updated Ubuntu (10.10, coming soon)
And, Gnome-do isn't the greatest. Theirs another one like it, same company, resources. Search "Docky" instead, it can be like the Windows 7 taskbar.
Add me on Skype: mhyoutube
:) I will guide you through it.

@FluffieRice Oh yeah. It can be like Windows 7 dock. And add multiple docks. At every side of your screen. Stable, and fast.
But, atm. I'm having problems with my graphics card. Nothing coming up on my screen. So I'm gonna be taking it to a friend. IT's so sad (( Lol
