I just wanted to say thank you for your review and thoughts on the PK380. Very informative and a nice perspective. Thanks for your time and efforts! BTW, like your hat in the follow up video.
Thank you very much for the tip on how to re-install that spring! I've been struggling with that! I agree with you in the fact that this is an excellent handgun. I have owned mine for awhile now, and my wife and I both enjoy shooting it. I had some minor feed problems when I first started shooting mine, but after we had shot 150 to 200 rounds through it we did not experience any more problems. The gun now functions perfectly.
i like your review style i found it informational and entertaining. i was kinda concerned over your muzzle awareness at certain points in the video. i understand that the firearm had been cleared but i feel the key to maintaining gun safety is with consistently following safety protocol( standard rules of fire arm safety) i dont mean to be rude or condescending by saying this and i still really enjoyed your video.
@petersusia1 When I've tripled checked the gun, there's no mag in and the breech is open wide open, I reserve the right to handle the gun the way I feel I need to in order to properly disassemble, clean it and reassemble it. There is a difference between reasonable safety and madness. Let's face it, even a loaded, double-action gun, uncocked with a 10 pound trigger pull is not going to go off unless some body pulls that trigger--and it's not easy to pull.
@OrangeJackson If you have gun shows in your area you might find a mag there. Some of the businesses that come to gun shows specialize in having lots of mags for the different models. Don't know if there are any third party mags or not, but it's worth a shot. Also, looks like Mec Gar makes a third party mag--I have one now that I recall, and it works great. Just google walther pk380 magazine and it will pop up near the top of the list. PK380 is an excellent pistol.
Just FYI; the spring re-assembly method I present is simple, quick, effective and easy. Otherwise the spring is really a time-consuming frustration that will discourage people from cleaning it. I think Walther should include a tool and present a method on their site that makes it easy. Otherwise, many people may not buy the gun--especially when there are others that shoot well but are easy to clean and reassemble. Too bad--this is a great gun at a great price!
Want to give an update on my PK 380. So far it is shooing flawlessly: very little recoil & taking a variety of ammo. So we're looking at a very dependable pistol here; is easy to control, to breakdown, and an excellent size for conceal carry...the price makes it an excellent value. Just ordered a CZ 83 .380. Will review it in a few weeks. My CZ 83 .32 shoots super; almost zero recoil. Hope the .380 shoots as well-it was voted pistol of the year in its class for 2010.
@cell21d Yes, I like mine more and more. Very good with ammo--taking a variety of brands without any jamming. And it shoots very accurately, with little recoil....very smooth. Glad you like the review.
Nice video. Wow that little 380 looks like a pain to take down though.

@secamend75 I like the hat too--I wear it a lot--all the time, in and out of election time; freedom never goes out of season.

The magazine release is the best part. You can hit it with your middle finger instead of your thumb which makes it easier to access quickly.

Very helpful, Thanks!
The only problem I have is finding a store that has mags in stock, sure seem hard to get ahold of, but love the pk380.

I’ve had my PK since December of last year and I love it. This is one of the best reviews of the PK ever, oh and very nice video quality.
