This instucter wasn't an asshole at all. He's doing exactly what he should be doing. He's there to teach the guy where the braking makers are, where to turn in for the apex of each corner. He's not out there to thrash a car around a track, or to have fun, he's there to learn how to race safely. I'd be making sure the learner is doing the right thing too whilst driving on my cams license.

this guy wouldnt let me do anything at all. everytime i would go fast enough to powerslide around a corner he would crack it at me. then when he shows me how to do it he turns the traction off and powerslides it himself. takes all the fun out of this course -_-

Now having watched the Vid -This instructor's pretty ok - I assume that its the driver's first time at this track?

All I hear is the instructor showing the driver on the correct lines. I do the same when showing my friend's the lines when its their first time ever.

Only issue was it was a very short track time so there probably wasn't enough time for the driver to get familiar and do his stuff.

My own experience was having the "instructor" yell at me to slow down. LOL.

this is so much fun! I will put my vid of some day! These cars are a little disappointing coz they are SS/XR8 with full roll cage and im guessing 'production car series' suspension upgrade and slicks, plus v8 supercar bodykit and brakes. Trouble i had is the V8 supercar body kit smashing on the ground under brakes!

Man it's fun! I was quickest guy in my little session but the instructors dont really let you push too hard and they have ABS and traction control :(

i did this last year was hugely disapointed with the car its a stock sv8 commodore with no zorst very slow, then i realy gave it to it in a corner and found out it had traction control and that old guy yellin all the time worst 5 laps i have eva done on a track

nah its nowhere near race spec but v8 supercars dont all have sequentials it's an option this year.

You're right. I know I'd be a lot more nervous and would probably perform worse if some annoying bastard was sat next to me telling me what to do and criticising everything. But then I've always been an independant learner! You cant force your own driving style on someone, even as high up as  F1 different drivers have their own techniques etc.

I went and did this, at the AHG driving academy at Perth International Airport, there apparentely VY commodores that have a performance chip in them, alot of weight mods and hardcore suspension, i only reached 170 down the straight which 550m..

it is a VY i dnt know what engine but if u look at the link to v8 supercars expierence out side the car its the same person and hes driving a VY, u can tell by the bonnet, the little raise in it wheres the VZ has more of a bump and runs more straight up the bonnet and its not a VT cause the lights arnt rounded :D
