@Thefranchessko ""Ora pro nobis" is Latin (imperative, 2nd person, singular) for "pray for us." Literally, it means "speak for us, intercede in our behalf" but its association with Church ritual has influenced its English translation.
I'm an atheist, I don't know what a lot of people will think about that on this video. But I don't care what people believe--we can all share the experience of this amazing music, regardless of where we're from, our upbringing etc.
Of course it should have meaning to the listener, not just beauty. Even so, it's always good to see non-radical people who can accept different things, like what you're saying.
@r0bz0rly I enjoy this music so much as being an atheist myself, however in my opinion there some authors and epochs more beautiful than others, I enjoy the polyphony period much more, and so forth.
Father God really blessed Mary. She followed Lord Jesus as a servant of God and gave her life to God in every way.I thank God my Father for giving my Lord Jesus such a good mother while the Lord was on earth as a man and I know that Mary respects and worships Lord Jesus with all her heart, just as she does with God our Father. Mary bless God forever and ever.
Despierten.
I'm not a strong religious man but when I hear monks sing like this I always feel the divine presence with me. Religion may not be 100% truthful but that does not mean it's 100% false either. I believe when we all die we will know what the true word of god was not what man said of god was.
Instead of rock music which is from the nasty Old Scratch, all kids in school elementary and high school could listen to this--would gurantee school peace, world peace, and better grades, no bullying and more mercy and compassion and understanding!
I tell you my fellow Christians, that all the sins in this world is accountable to the churches, for if they only unite and upheld free giving instead of buying and selling, there could be no robber and thieves among them, nor is there a chance for athiestic view to rise. The Way of God had suffered abusive speech from the enemies of God because the churches are harlot.
rabbitears2006, for Holy correction, the Immaculate Conception refers to Mary being conceived without sin. I think you are thinking of the Annunciation which refers to Gabriels "Ave!" .
@kardiackid75 Masses are still done in Latin. There's probably a church near you that still celebrates in the Tridentine manner. I know some churches near me that do the Mass of Paul VI in Latin, as it was originally written. It feels a whole lot more different either way.
There is not any difference there are 2 versions of the Ave Maria, the Assumption is when Mary is taken to heaven in her physical body, said that she did not die but assumed (went) straight to heaven, Immaculate Conception is when the angel Gabriel told her she was pregnant with Jesus, Does that anwer your question

this way is correct: Agnus Dei qui tollis peccata mundi.
and God Bless Us. He doesn´t pray for us. So "Ora pro nobis" is not correct.
More we know, better we pray... :)

Creo que una cosa es la doctrina de dios y otra muy diferente el modo que tiene la gente de interpretarlo.
No tiene nada de malo, es solo la cantidad de gente que lo entiende mal.

Dear Mother in Heaven,
Pray for us sinners now and intercede for us that we may be worth of the promise of Christ.
Thank you Mother, for hearing our petitions !
