I could sit and watch these videos of EVA MAE all day! and all night! I will NEVER get tired of them! I LOVED Eva Mae so much! she was such a friend of mine and a great pianist! and singer!
You are so right! No one could pound the old gospel 88 quite like Eva Mae! It tickles me to see young people discover and appreciate her playing. She was one of the best Southern Gospel pianists ever to sit on the bench in my opinion.
Wow! Mrs. Eva Mae LeFevres pioneering piano playing with such high spirited key tinklin' sure has placed her high into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame!! The LeFevres were true Pioneers in Southern Gospel Music that has endured the test of time and continues to enlighten new generations of Gospel music lovers even today !! God bless Mrs. Eva Mae!!
I listened to Eva Mae back in the 60's and I still yet to this day enjoy her style of playing. In my book no one will ever take her place. God has blessed her now past 90 years of music ministry. What a legancy she will leave behind someday. God bless always.
Dean, Thanks for the posts on here....I am glad I found these ( even though I am not getting any work done today) hehehehePLEASE keep adding WONDERFUL God bless you x0x0x0
Thanks so much for this great old clip of Eva Mae and the LeFevres from the "new" Gospel Singing Caravan TV program (late 60s). Eva Mae had a unique and unmistakable style at the keyboard which has NEVER been duplicated, although many have tried. She was the queen of those open octave runs! As a gospel pianist, I use many of the techniques I learned from watching and listening to her on TV back in the 60s. I so enjoy all your posts on YouTube! God Bless You! MoJoPiano
she was such an inspiration to my daddy.
