  • this is what me and my friend ryan are getting ourselves into!

  • marine recon is pertty sweet but research shows the the us.navy seals are at the top for most difficult training and best of the best.

  • Recon Marines is like the younger sister compared to Navy Seal Training

  • @REDSCOUT3 I guess you're called seals because all you do is sit in the water...

  • @ryan6627 in seals they go through bud/s which is basic underwater demolition seal training

  • @REDSCOUT3

Marine Recon isn't the Marine Corps' special ops. MARSOC is.

  • @catspajamas01 special ops and is infamous in the Marine Corps

  • 12 weeks holly shit

  • Will someone please get that goddamn mouse out of the left side of the screen!

  • @catspajamas01 I didnt even notice the mouse lol I was focused on what i'll be doing soon

  • @ryan6627

me too! haha. I wish you the best of luck!

  • wouldnt it be class 6-10? haha civilians.

  • @KassemGfive typically no, they just let you rest, gather yourself and retests. Unless its a dire safety issue.

  • the intro was scary enough!

  • 1 noob disliked this video. Oorah Marines

  • i will do this but i need to train for this...takes time..

  • darmmm i gotta tell thats some tought shit!!!! i cant even stay in the water floading for aleast 15 mins.

  • some ppl are already like this

    /watch?v=uy09cXwsz6w

  • and yes I know theres a difference.

  • force recon have a 13 week boot plus a week or so of marksman training.

  • @wyattb995 And you know this how?

  • Fuck the civilian life, I am now surrounded by fat pussies again, miss the Corps.

  • MSOAG makes this look like army bct.

  • WTF??? That's crazy. I'm not man enough for this shit.

  • I could do all of this, but the swimming under water across the pool I might have a problem with

  • @MonkenDeShea Yeah same thing man

  • i've alway's wanted to become a Recon Marine, im very good in schools passing with A's and B's sometimes C's, but i was wondering i dont want to go to college first, i want to go to the U.S.M.C right out of high school, im in 8th grade, ive got a reading level of 10th and am in PREAP Science and Math and i want to go right out of high school then right out of boot camp, im not one of them COD players who all of a sudden want to join but i got some ?'s, can i go straight out of boot camp 2 Recon?

  • @MarineBrandon123 well, good luck. try your best, i leave this coming January and i'm ready to leave.

  • @MarineBrandon123 Im a 2nd lieutenant in the USMC. It doesnt matter what you know they strip everything from you and reduce you to nothing and then make a Marine. So, my best advice? Prepare yourself physically and most importantly MENTALLY and get rid of that individualistic mindset. I wish you the best of luck.

  • @MarineBrandon123 Usually the Marine Corps allows those who are already in a combat unit to try for Recon, most likely have a good record with the Battalion, it is best to be a Marine for a while, but if you are good you commander won't easily let you go.

  • @MarineBrandon123 NO, you go from bootcamp to combat training, it is possible right now to get a recon contract, not sure how it'll be by the time you get there, but on a recon contract, it gurantees you go to recon training ONLY IF you meet ALL the requirements to be there. You have to have an expert marksmanship qualification, expert swimmer qualification, and it's best that you be rocking a 300 PFT.

  • Good luck to my brother who was sent over for training last week. Hope you hang in there bro.

  • ok so i want to join marine recon but i have a question can i become an officer in recon?and if so what schools do i need to go to?and if they see action? any reply wil be hepful

  • @alchemist5211 get a two year degree at college with a certain gpa and you get to be either lcpl or cpl fresh out of boot. Since it's SOCOM and youd be an NCO you still get to choose who is in your squad, and boot who you dont want.

  • @davidhlusko ohh ok thanks for straighting it out for me

  • im 16 and im joining in 3months at 17 i got a perferct pft score already but i dont know what type of stuff i gotta do to prepare for recon, i can shoot well also due to my uncle being a ex force recon ss with over 100 kills in south american drug wars, but i can do that underwater swim thing and tread water but i dont know how to start training for long distance swimming plz help

  • @MrRucknroll best of luck to you bro

  • if u quit can while doing training can u retry later on maybe a couple moths later

  • @killerbeau95 If you couldn't then you can't do it now, it's 90% mental, 10% physical.

  • @03AlexUSMC That is the biggest piece of bull shit I've ever heard. There is no ratio. There is no such thing as "90% mental 10% physical". There is only 100% mental and 100% physical and no less of either. Same goes for Army, Navy, and Air Force special ops/forces training.

My greatest respect goes out to those who serve. Especially those who willingly go through this course.

  • if you want to be part of the force reconnaissance marines maintain your composure, many have tried but only few survived, only the best and the brave survive here

  • if you want to be part of the few good men and the finest soldier in the planet, join in the marines, your life will change for the better and best forever, dont remain idle in your community, look for challenge and see the world, strengthen your heart, mind, and physical condition, something that you can be proud of for the rest of your life.

  • This isn't even Force Recon they have their own seperate indoc. In some comparison terms for intensity, this is like Ranger training based on attrition rate and Force Recon is like Navy SEAL training based on attrition rate and the fact it's harder then what's shown in these videos. Thumbs this up so people won't be confused with the two because Force Recon and Battalion Recon are different.

  • cool

  • is this for force recon or just regular recon?

  • @umidontknowwhattodo Pretty sure its just basic recon. No tellin how hard Force Recon is.

  • i don't get why they have to get the weapon outta the deep end. m16 don't even work after you put them into water. unless you clean them.

  • @Beatz1297 they do that to make them a better swimmer

  • @butch2245 well yes. but my point is it's useless because if they had to do that in real combat they'd have a nonfunctional firearm which is useless. I'm just saying it would make more sense if they would switch to a rifle that was worth a shit. like a HK416 or 417. regardless OOHRAH!

  • Semper Fi Do or Die

  • oorah. get some marines. semper fi til i die

  • Oooorah Marines, Joining you 2015. Semper Fi.

  • @CamoNick561 --If you are serious about one day enlisting into the Marine Corps, read through the Future Jarheads website that is linked on my profile page. It is a site made by a Marine for future Marines and it will teach you what you need to know. OOH RAH!

  • I'm thinking about doing this after I get my degree. But I have to watch my diet and exercise like I used to...

  • @mrrucknroll

Just keep working on ur distance underwater. Push ur breaking point every time. Also go underwater deep and retrieve objects. Just swim a shit ton!

  • anyone have any good tips on how to increase the time i can stay underwater without comig up for a breathe

  • In military training, every "Basic" training course or school is meant to condition a candidate for the lifestyle they choose: Marine Basic Training is meant to prepare a civilian for life as a Marine, Basic Recon prepares a Marine for life in the Reconnaissance field, while other schooling and courses may be required. These schools have specific training and acceptances dates and every Marine regardless of specialty will usually serve a minimum duty tour in their first enlistment +/-24 months

  • Face it: you gotta be a bit nuts to sign up for this shit. But every citizen of the US owes a debt to these guys that we can never, ever, repay.

  • anyone notice the mouse pointer at the left of the screen?

  • At least they remember their traing.

  • if I sign a contract for recon man/0321, this is the course I go to right?

  • @elnegry2008 you should if you meet physical requirements and a asavb gt score of 105

  • @elnegry2008 yes if u fail out u get a basic infantry mos

  • @elnegry2008 you can't sign for a specific MOS, you can only sign for a specific field. I.E. you can't sign for 0352, you sign for 0300. When you get to your Field specialty school after you get a dream sheet. They just want to see what the percentages of people want they won't get you what you want on purpose. The only way you can pick your specialty is signing as a reserve.

  • Why are you talking about the army in a Marine video? idk how the army works with their mos's but in da Marine Corps you cant or its very rare that it happens

  • these guys are the personification of dedication

  • search for "MarineRecon/0321" on facebook. It is helpful.

  • East of the Mississippi, go to Parris Island. If you have Recon in your contract, you may end up on the West Coast for SOI. If you are simply volunteering for Recon out of ITB East, you wait for someone from Reconnaissance Training Company to show up and take names of volunteers.

Doing Calinsthenics, running and swimming are good. Keep in mind that you shouldn't over train yourself and eat properly. Recon does ruck runs, zodiac boat carries, and finning with combat equipment.

  • yo also according to info i found online i live in IL so i go to paris island but my brother whos a marine went to pendelton, im confused can a marine answer if i can go to pend

  • im 16 and i just started a routine 2 months ago where i run before school for 30min, workout after school for 1hour and swim for 1hour at night, any tips from a recon marine plz i do this 5 times a week but run 7 days a week

  • @MrRucknroll

Instead of exercising everyday, take one day off and let the muscles build up.

as far as running and swimming, there's also weight-lifting and dead on sprints.

I know a few people in the branches.

  • @jeremyburfield Since when can you change your mos!? Your recruiter is lying to you,you can't change your mos during your enlistment.not even once.

  • @matthew562 my CO is transferring me to a 11B from a 13F its very possible

  • @TheCrazySweed 1 in Hawaii 2

  • @TheCrazySweed its true when i talked to the recruiter he told me i can not join infantry bc its full

  • @jeremyburfield great. train hard and with others, there is no way to train properly by yourself. Learn to stay awake, attentive, and alert without sleep for several days. Good luck =) I dont have the balls to try something like recon.

  • @jeremyburfield Thats garbage, tell your recruiter youll find some one else to recruit you or you wont sign the fine print untill you get infantry. You will be surprised how quickly your wishes will be granted.

  • "SUFFER IN SILENCE"!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Oh man these guys really do go hard. God bless 'em all!!

  • @jeremyburfield:

Same situation here. I ship off august 22 to bootcamp. you? No more infantry spots, but I'd die for RECON.

  • @ogirv101 Don't get ahead of yourself. You have to earn the title of United States Marine first. I hope you do.

  • fucking marines the best in the fuckin planet

  • @puertorico091 ooouuuuraaah !

  • I loved this and I even loved more being a SRTI Semper Fi and God Bless all my FORECON brothers.

  • hard charging devildawgs,,semper fi.

  • i hate water, i cannot tread water in 40 minutes straight. i will just join the marines not the recon, lol. HOO-RAH!

  • @NarooluCA a marine that hates water? lmfao! just join the air force.

  • @rickyrich301 im scared of heights ._.

  • @NarooluCA

Oorah not hoorah. Go somewhere else the Corps doesn't need cowards like you.

  • @siegeO2 such it

  • @NarooluCA Your DI's will make you not afraid. Especially your kill hats if you go in.

  • I hate water. I couldn't do this. These guys are beasts

  • great upload thanks

  • Minner om en bättre tid och plats!

    Pete,MCRD,SD,1981
