  • Thanks. Heck, I was shocked to find I even could like carrot juice! Now I am going greener & greener (leafy veggies) since switching from a centrifugal juicer to a masticating juicer. But I drink 2 12 ounces of juice twice per day and EACH glass containing 2 ounces-3 ounces of wheat grass in each of those glasses. I am not diabetic but have found I lost about 12 pounds in the first 30 days since restarting juicing. Never what I was after but not complaining either. Just wanted to feel better.

  • Awesome! Congratulations on losing weight...

  • Dumb question? Isn't that amount of carrots going to add too much glucose? I worry about a sugar spike.

  • Great question. Root vegetables like carrots do have high natural sugar content. Carrot juice has a glycemic index count of 45 which is at an acceptable borderline.

however you sure can reduce the amount of carrots you use in your juice. This juice makes 3-4 servings.

Add a bunch of romaine lettuce to this drink instead of the carrots.

If you are diabetic or suffer from any other ailment, we would suggest consulting with your dietitian before juicing root vegetables like carrots or beets.

  • very nice
