This is a company with a long history of veracity/over promising issues. Eric may be thoughtful in his response to you, but he went slick with a no credibility client, not very thoughtful. However, I am sure the GM execs felt the agency love.
I agree with you. I love your passion on this subject. This is one of those times where slick and clever actually make you look rough and stupid.
But I'm not sure that "crying wolf" is the right metaphor. In fact, it's the polar opposite. To cry wolf is to ring the alarm when there's no danger. With this spot, GM is saying, "what wolf?"
