looks to me from the video that a lot of the connection ports are partially covered by the leather, even the speaker holes. Seems like poor design. How hard is it to make sure all the connection ports are open.

I just ordered mine off the apple website and i was pleased to find an extra velcro piece which doesn't allow my ipad to slip out which is really cool. maybe but im not sure if you go buy one now it may or maynot have an extra velcro piece

The best way to keep it locked in place is to use just a no. 50 binder clip. Remove the metal from the front and it won't budge.

Put the clip to the side a bit, it doesn't need to be in the middle. The clip doesn't touch the screen. No more shift problems.

i like this one over the marware eco for the fact that this has a strap to secure it when the lid is closed and i think this stand/tilt system is more stable than the "flap" on the marware eco, the flap may bend over time and no longer work right, but this stand does look too good either, however it doesn't really matter to me because I plan to use it on the bottom adjustment providing a small tilt for typing. Perfect!!!

Even if it makes the iPad look bigger, it keeps my iPad safe, makes me feel safe(er) when carrying it, and disguises it as a portfolio so I don't have to give demonstrations to 100 people when carrying it around with me in public and lowers the possibility of it gettting stolen. Seriously considering buying this case to replace my official Apple one. :)

Thanks so much for this review. I believe this is the best (only ?) alternative to Apple iPad case.

Do you find it convenient to type (fast) while the iPad is laid ? As you would process with the official case.

Is it compatible with the dock ? I know the official case is not so I guess it is not compatible too.

@figaga The official Apple iPad case isn't compatible with the dock, either, so you'll have to take the case off no matter what.
