  • Mickey Hartigay played the executioner. His wife was Jane Mansfield and his daughter, Mariska Hartigay, is the popular star of the television show "Law and Order, SVU".

  • this is right up my alley

  • love those plastic swords in the coffin.

  • cheesy lol

  • My main problem with this horribly acted movie was that the chicks didn't scream near enough. It's like when they dubbed it in english, they forgot to sream. One girl gets hit with an arrow and she only lets out a couple of light gasps to show her anguish. More scream please. Love the genre and the music is not as bad as commentators would have you believe; I remember this music as European sentual music of the time - turn of the decade spy-sensuality era music

  • seen better dubbing in a kung-fu movie

  • @1:03.22 that's why I always keep a knife

  • why do people say it sucks I read the the description it looked good it just needed more work and better music

  • at 29:51 - KEWL!

  • Looks like a live-action version of a Scooby-Doo plot.At least Scooby-Doo was funny.I hate the music in movies like this, and the dubbing is worse than awful.

  • lol the 'dead' guy on that bed blinks . o.o

  • this is so bad quality

  • This movie was horrible I'm glad they stop making movies like this...............

  • the music sucks

  • the killing scenes are sooo scary!!! I don't want to die like that!!! XD

  • Also known as The Scarlet Hangman, The Crimson Executioner, and The Red Hangman. An Italian/USA film produced by MBS, International Entertainment, and Ralph Zucker. This exploitation outing is a classic example of repressed homosexuality transformed into sadistic aggression towards women. Ex-Mr. Universe Mickey Hargitay plays a crazed ex-actor totally preoccupied with his narcissism until his castle is invaded by a group of people "taking photos for book covers" or something equally inane.

  • A writer (Walter Brandi), his chaste fiancee (Luisa Baratto), and their publisher ready some scantily dressed photographic models for some scary pictures in the dungeon's torture chamber, and soon, Hargitay assumes the personality of a masked, bare-chested executioner wearing a broad leather belt, a medallion on a chain and revealing tights. He proceeds to subject the women and men to medieval tortures.

  • Presumable she is spared because, unlike the models whose erotic underwear betrays a certain amount of sexual experience and makes them 'fair game' for the torturer, she never disrobes herself, proving she is the type of girl one marries. Judging by the character Hargitay plays and the prominence accorded to his well-oiled, hairless torso, the viewer is invited to derive pleasure from contemplating the male body.

  • The trouble that such homoerotic pleasures provoke for the supposedly macho viewer is diverted towards sadistic aggression against women who come to function as detour and safety valve within a circuit of narcissism between the viewer and villain Desire, with all its connotations of femininity, is here only evoked to be ostentatiously eliminated as woman after woman is killed, culminating with impeccable fantasy logic in the emergency of a safely conventional couple at the end of the movie.

  • The effects are crude, the direction primitive and the whole of interest only as a case study to illustrate a theory of cinema-as-fantasy in psychoanalytic terms. Director Massimo Pupillo (aka Max Hunter, who also acts in this under the name Ralph Zucker) was also responsible for the film's distribution. DON'T MISS: the soundtrack music, near the start, played off a record WITH A SCRATCH IN IT - the same part of the music plays over and over, and no one seemed to catch it!!!

  • @richard40568 - 2deep4u

  • ~eye roll~ Holy shit...douchebaggery at it's finest. Although I wouldn't mind seeing what someone Like Lucio Fulci could do with such awful material.

  • Every Saturday I dress up like that and run around my house.

  • @teh1tronner hey, so do i, and i often wonder why i run around your house dressed like this. youre outta milk.

  • scary or not?...

  • this is fuckery. u will regret being born if u spend ur fucking time watchung this piece of shit. i want to stab the director and shoot the writer for

  • @richard40568 i still think that the movie "isle of desade" has this one beat for cheeze and cornball crzy

  • "The Bloody Pit of Horror" a.k.a "Saw 0"

  • @puddingman2 I believe a remake would be excellent as long as they stuck to the original feel of this movie.
