At a guess, since it's New Zealand, I'd say that's a Toyota Land-Cruiser chassis. But modified since the 'tard driving didn't take account of the rear axle steering as well as the front.

Land-Cruisers don't normally have rear steer!

The engine sounds like a 4 cylinder turbo diesel - I could be wrong. The one in the game sounds more like a high revving V6 or V8 diesel hybrid, (Bungie did their homework re the technology).
