Ah I see ya I haven't seen ur new video. Ya I just got done throwing my subs in my prix but running it without my cap but a brand new alt so let's see how that goes lol
Ya I had type rs in my toyota same year but I promise you that alternator can not NOT handle the power I fried three alternators then I got a cap $300 and helped a little sounds amazing in the toyota but you definitley need a different box with ports for each sub if your running 2 amps. Its hard to get it exactly right match but other then that props to you different setup but sounds good. Try tech nyne there bass hits everything I swear
@hayabusatwinkie09 I've had this car for 4 years and I've had subs the whole time, and the Type R's I've had for 2 and I haven't had any trouble with the alternator, but I have had a capacitor since the beginning. I did end up getting a new box, and I put up a new video not too long ago that show's my new box. It sounds great.
@liming5 Not really sure. I don't know anybody that's had the W3V3's. I've heard JL's before, and they usually sound pretty good, but that particular model I'm not sure about.
@18abVFL I've blown a Type R on the amps I'm using now. I had to turn down the gain a bit and I keep the deck setting lower than usual. I need a new alternator, but the amps can provide the power.
@aclose78 blowing a sub usually has nothing to do with the amount of power, its usually associated with the gain generally being too high. you could have a 2500 watt amp, and have tons of power going to the subs without causing distortion if the gains set right
@18abVFL The sub and amp combo is practically made for each other. I just don't know how it could be underpowered with matched ratings. Yeah you can provide more power to a sub than it's rated with a clean signal, but that's the problem.
@darkdrago745 Well it depends. I have the 1242D's. They are not the latest model, but the latest model just came out so you could grab a pair of them for $200-$250 if you look around, but the new ones would be $400-$450. As far as a box goes probably around $60-$100 for a prefab and a custom can be anywhere from $150-$300 even sometimes more than that. but usually $150-$300 is a good estimate.
ok thanks for making this vid dude i was think about the same exact set up, it sounds fucking beautiful i cant wait to scare the old people down my block with these bad boys
nice man. i got a 2000 mercury cougar and i plan on doing the big 3 for it. got 2 type rs (4 ohm) sittin in my room and a big ported box. hifonics 1610d on the way..i made an amp rack. ill be sure to post some vids. also got an optima yellowtop! holla!
Nice big 3 upgrade! I like the paper trick & your phone was jumping!!!! I tried recording video's through my phone but it looks 100% crappy! I should have video's up soon ill eventually buy a new camera or borrow one.
Keep the video's rolling! I got a few more songs I have for you to test out.
