@IsItOnTab Bzzzt, wrong, guess again.

In fact, Robert's in a wheelchair because he got drunk and fell out of a window, losing the use of his legs. That happened a long time before any of us had heard of AIDS. Fortunately, the accident did very little to dent his spirit and nothing to damage his talent. Great guy.

ok, people stop bashing/hating please. let's face it a cornet trumpet is almost the same thing, there is only a slight difference in sound... this was a great solo, very lyrical and musical....

@norcoridermat Actually a cornet is part of the horn family because it has a conical bore.The trumpet has a more cylidrical and parallel bore as well as having a sharper and brighter sound.

They may sound alike but aren't, as they are very different instruments with specific applications.

@barryroot - some people call a cornet a trumpet, while not technically accurate, it's not completely inaccurate either. In some people's opinion it could be the best solo, just because it isn't in your opinion doesn't mean it isn't. And it definitely is a solo... Stop trying to be smarter than you are.

To those of you who feel compelled to point out that this is a cornet and not a trumpet; there are only 2 differences between the cornet and the trumpet. The cornet is smaller, and the tubing flares out more toward the bell to give it a softer tone. Those aren't huge differences. They're still basically the same instrument.

@geminicatman I've played them side by side when I was in high school. Yes, there was a difference, but it was a pretty subtle difference. A highly trained ear might be able to tell the difference when hearing one over the other, but the average listener would not. To me, it's always seemed like there is about as much difference as there is between a violin and a fiddle.
