@andrewpmast Was thinking of turning it into part of my regular sounds! No, I didn't get it sorted as I noticed it was happening to my other amp (same model, diff year) as well. I know my pickups are not microphonic (they are potted pickups from a PRS Custom) so can only assume that these old heads, with the input gain wacked up to full, produce this noise when the guitar is that close to the circuit.
LOL, I just saw this video. I couldn't help but laugh, it sounded funny. On the serious side, hope you got it worked out.
