  • i think it was about 8 by 8 and 9 ft. high. (at least where the wall is...it was a 2 car garage) I can't remember exactly since it was a few years back and I don't live in that house anymore...

  • What are your garage dimensions? Nice work by the way!

  • john butler

  • i really like the song!

  • @thisishaply

Thicker non perforated plywood. No pressed board. Expensive but it will last longer and have better weight capabilities.

  • awesome!

  • About a month working a few nights a week

  • how long did it take

  • well . . . it is a child-rock-climbing-homade-wall. For a tall adult turns chalengeless in a short run

  • It was fantastic, i trying to make one at my home too. So cool!!!!

  • Would this happen to be based off of the Metolius guide for home walls? Just got that PDF myself. And great song, too. My friend just learned it and here it is again!

  • awesome, can't wait to get my own house and get this done

  • Very cool wall. I was thinking of building very similar to this one. Do you use screw on holds or bolts? And do you need to be behind the wall too change the holds if they are bolt holds?

  • @razbuten my wall is a bolt wall, and you dont need to go behind it to put holds on/change holds.

  • Hey, could you please post a new video of someone climbing some of the routes you've put up. I would like to build this wall, but I feel it could be very limiting.

  • hi, I got 2 questions to ask.

1: for the the plywood support, how do you mount it to the wall? do you simply drill it? is there any fittings in the walls before you drill the supports to the wall??

2: I did tried a test before, but caused a crack while drilling a crimp hold to the outer plywood. Is it bcos of the plywood thickness? or the type of scews/fittings/boltings?

Hope you can answer as I looked around and I've been getting different opinions. Thanks

  • hi, if you don't mind me asking, how tall are your ceiling?

  • Super b work. I'll be stoppin by tomorrow to pull!! Good music!

  • I got plywood nailed/screwed it to a wall put holds got a pully and rope a carabener and I can climb!

  • Nice job. Just wondering at what angle did you set the over-hang wall at. Thanks.

  • nice wall! very well done!

  • im making a giant bolder in my yard and a hole inside like a cave

  • how much do rocks cost

  • It was very aufull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pode crer mt massa ah parede !!!

    abraços bom trabalho . . .

  • Sounds almost identical to Andy Mckee's "Drifting", but with a few variations.

Good stuff with the wall there. I wish I could do that.

  • dude, couldn't be any more jealous lol very good job, hope to get to work on 1 myself soon. not gonna be anywhere near the same standard as that though haha

  • nice.

    how thick was your plywood?

  • Nicely done dude! And, mattress crash pad ftw!

  • Can I ask is the wall brick or is it a partition wall? and which would you recomend?

  • justin king is the man...

  • cool

im 16 and trying to figure out how to make one at my house...but i dont know how much it would cost...can anyone help

  • it was about $500 including all the holds

  • ya im screwed

  • thank you tho

  • @Mercuriocm1 where did u buy the holds from?

  • @rome6499 soillholdsdotcom

  • @Mercuriocm1 and that's USD right? ah yea, is there anyway to NOT use wood, i mean like the whole structure thingy? Say, bolting the tiles to the concrete wall.

  • @almostadu lol me too

  • what is this song?

  • I wish i knew. i saw this guy live a couple years back and he is sickk

  • it's called drifting by Andy Mc.... hmmm can't remember his last but just look up drifting acoustic in the search bar on here and you should see a bald guy with a beard in a dim room with an acoustic guitar... Hit that and you got it. I actually first heard this song on here. Hope this helps

  • @infinityshot i think its by andy mckee

  • not andy mckee...its Justin King

  • the song is "knock on wood" by justin king

  • @Mercuriocm1 justin king and i think the song is called knock on wood

  • it says the song at the end!!!

  • @infinityshot FUCK YOU....ANOTHER FAGGOT ASKING ABOUT THE SONG.

just focus on the camera work and the point of the video.

    fucking douchbag.

  • @knuckleupjonez

    lol u made me laugh.

    Go improve your EQ, man.

Guess you don't have any idea why am I not angry with you...I hope you are not older than me.

  • @infinityshot

i think this is knock on wood. its a great song tho.

  • When you used the Joist Hangers for the bottom of your first angled wall, was the kick board able to line up flush with the angled wall? In other words, is the bottom of the angled wall 3-1/2" from the drywall? So the 2" X 4" was able to be attached flush with the corner of the angled wall? Or is there a lip b/t where the angle wall and the kick board meet. I hope I'm making myself clear enough...

  • that looks so fun great for traing eh'! good job man!

  • Ok, anyone who doesn't understand the point of a 10ft high climbing wall is CLEARLY not a climber. Nice job man. I'd love to do a project like this in my garage as soon as I get some cash. Love the Justin King background music too.

  • whats the point of a 10 ft. high climbing wall?

  • aa i dunno maybe to climb it?! Have fun?! ya dumass

  • its 10 ft. its like as tall as my ladder which is 10 ft. ya jackass

  • you should just not.

  • Bouldering?

  • this is awsome. =D

  • my frend was build a similar wall, but he use metal pipe for frame structure and on that put a wood, I think it's a lot easier to construct and probably less cost. But this is well done wall, great work, cheers

  • Yeah, I second the Metolius wall comment.

That said, I remember when I built my wall, i wanted to copy that guide! Good job man, looks awesome. You should add a roof section sometime!

  • Looks like you found the Metolus climbing wall guide :P

  • Thats cool.. Where do you get holds from cuz my dad and i are making a big wall w/ maybe an autobelay

  • wow man that turned out to be really nice!!! congrats i hope u like it.

  • Is this Eric Mongrain?

  • oh great

  • arrgghh,i want 1!

    lol:):):)

  • With the holds, did you simply drill them on, or did you use some sort of glue to stop them from turning? I think this would be a great way to keep fit, and i am thinking of making my own wall. I already have like 13holds drilled to my wall, any help would be welcome, thanks...

btw, well done, great job. :)

  • just get T-nuts....they let you tighten the holds on without letting them turn........no glue needed......

  • wow thats so nice i want to mak eone too like how much did you spent with holds and everything??

  • a little over $500 i think

  • without holds right?

  • how many hours did it take you/ others

and i thought it was a gr8 vid btw

  • I have no idea...we worked on it a few days a week for about a month.

  • thats actually not that bad

  • good one im planning to make an outdoor wall

  • hey did you attach the bottoms of those 2 x 4 studs (on the vertical wall) directly into the concrete floor or was there a base plate?

  • I'm guessing you're talking about the short 2ft kick board on the left? Believe it or not, that bottom 2x4 is just sitting there on the concrete. We toe nailed the vertical pieces into the wall studs and then toe nailed the bottoms of them into that bottom 2x4. If you're talking about the front wall, we just used joist hangers that basically sat on the ground.

  • word nice video. i'm about to convert my garage as well.

  • hey man,

    really good video

im in the middle of designing my own climbing wall

    any tips?

and what kind of holds did you use?

    thanks
