  • i looked up t5 FuckRustyCo

    oley

  • Be ware, in this video, it says to connect the connector body to the pre installed pins, but since this video was made this brand of puck lights has changed. The set up is not the same and the way they want u to do it is hokey and not safe so we are taking these back to lowes. Each puck light wire is bare and they want u to wire it to reg plug in for each light. Its hokey and not safe.

  • covers florecent light

  • fart.

  • you looks so p... using glasses for this job

  • so im NOT the only one!

  • Rusty Cooley has made home improvement metal.

  • WOW! Very a informative and helpful video! You guys should upload your videos to ContractorTube. com

  • Rusty got this video almost 6000 new watchers.

  • Thumbs up if Rusty Cooley sent you here.

  • Rusty Cooley sent me here...

  • Rustey Cooley likes this.

  • I finally put them on.. it was easy and the only hard part was trying not to hit my finger wit the hammer. Since my countertops are white tiles, the light seems more brighter so I wouldn't recommend for granite.

  • Had puck light and the glass would always fall out.....frustrating.

  • @flurgflurg so it doesn't matter what side I put the pin into the connectors?

  • How do I know witch pin is supposed to be negative nd positive? If I mess up I won't be able to pull them out

  • @lens240 Im sure its too late for the answer, but smooth wire is hot, ridged is neutral. Look closely at the wire and youll see one is smooth and one has lines going through it

  • Misleading -- he never shows how the wires connect between the separated cabinets and I never see the finished wiring. I tried this and it's hard to make the long runs to the middle and hide the plug in. Notice you never see where the main power is plugged into the wall...

  • I was hoping for better option for under counter lighting. I already installed this at my mom's. Plus I have flush bottome cabinets.

  • this is wonderful I want to do this at my house

    @RuthieAppleby

  • I gave a thumbs up for several good comments here but my vote was not counted.

  • do it wrong and burn your house down!!

hire a licensed electrician and save your life!!!

  • @patwregan

Buy the books at lowes, and you won't need that fat guy who costs 20 an hour.

  • @patwregan Not if you know what your doing !

  • @patwregan These are low voltage lights...

  • Great video! I'd be curious to see one showing how to hard wire the lights. In particular, what is the proper way of protecting the wires inside the wall? If a conduit should be used, how do you secure it to the wiring inside the wall at the point of entry? (assuming conduit is only used inside the wall and the wires are left as they are on the outside) Thank you for your help!

  • Nice illustration of the installation process. But I can't find the lights they show on the Lowes web site! Lame!

  • @zebulon4602

Check out on Lowe's Website item # 240222 and see if this is what you're looking for. They also have them in black.

  • Nice illustration of the installation process. But I can't find the lights they show on the Lowes web site! Lame!

  • Why not hard wire it? Just remove the plug using some electrical pliers and attach them into an existing 120v power outlet. No unsightly plugin.

Is it not "technically" rated for in wall installation because of the type of wiring?

  • Thanks。 Nice video

  • Do these types of lights have a switch? I'm interested in installing them but the power supply is the plug behind the fridge. Does this mean I'd have to pull the fridge out every time I wanted to turn it on???

  • Comment removed

  • "No, you shouldn't have to pull the fridge every time to turn off the lights.

He is installing a dimmer @ 3:28 (a way to control and turn off the lights as well) by routing the wire to the power supply which he mounted under one of the cabinets.

If you want to turn on the lights by way of a regular light switch, you have to buy and assemble a hard wiring cabinet light fixture. That requires more electrical work.

I hope this makes any sense."

  • nice vest, i want one! ;D

  • I would have missed that nail or hit my fingers several times at 2:52. I love carpentry work but suck at using a hammer.

  • Interesting video! Way to brightens my home!
