I watched this movie called 180 movie it was very good if you are pro-life or pro-choice, watch this award winning documentary and see where you stand at the end.
Any students pass out? I saw one hit the floor so hard it sounded like a coconut being bounced on the tile floor. He was ok but I still sent him down the hall for a scan.
ummmm that babys face looks real but the body does not i have baby dolls that look better than that crap well at least i know were iam NOT!!!!!!!!!!! going to school............lol
pity she didn't sugest veryfying if there still is a pulse in the umbilical cord and wait till it stops before sectionningg it, allowing for respiratory transition to be completed...
are you drunk pharmacyiii? nurse practitioners make about 50k+ and full blown Ph.D Physicians make well over 100K depending on what you specialize in. neurosurgeons make close to 350k+ and do get me started on brain surgeons.
Only during residency, which can be anywhere from 3-7 years depending on specialty. Then, it's usually in the six digits...although money is such a dirty word in the medical field. No one does it for the money, I'll tell you that. If these people wanted money, they'd study finance, business, or some other shit-eating career.
I went through it and im still alive! lol. It hurts but only for a little while. When you see your baby you forget all the pain, because you helped them to come into this world. If you keep thinking pain, pain, pain than most likely you are very negative in that sense. All mothers go through pain, all animal go through pain-its just natural. Nowadays they got medicine that eliminates at least 80-90% of the pain. So dont be scared just ask for a epidural! Than you'll be ok!!
Ummmm, yeah, I'm pretty sure suctioning is quite unnecessary in most cases, much less on the perineum while baby's body is STILL INSIDE. You don't want to activate air-breathing before shoulders are delivered at the very least. And cord traction to "deliver" the placenta? Not needed at best, dangerous at worst. Someone needs to read the current research before they teach another class. Interesting, though, thanks for posting!
Ack! Why are they cutting and clamping the cord so early? That is bad for the baby! Give that baby to its mama right away and leave the cord and placenta alone! Barbaric. That is scary that they are teaching this still in med schools. No wonder it's safer in 40 other countries to have a baby than in the U.S. And did you catch how they have to hold on to the uterus because they are pulling so hard on the placenta that it can cause prolapse? Ugh!
Generally, women will have contractions that tell them it is time to push out the placenta, and the baby (generally) will rotate and flex WITHOUT manual assistance. Let's teach 'when these things are helpful' and not just 'routine hands on birth'! Less routine intervention = less risks from intervention!

No wonder doctors rarely support the perineum. This mannequin doesn't even have a perineum!
