wow what a song, i fell on this by accident viewing other videos now i cant stop replaying it!! ive heard of suede but dont know much about them i gather bernard was a part of suede via comments, but this songs awesome
Hello, Im mexican. Im fan of butler, i think he is a total guitar hero, he is so sweet and intense. Its a shame that Bernard now not made an album like People Move On. "Cause all i need in my hands is an acoustic guitar"...fuckin great Bernard.
God.... I mean gosh... how I remember I played this and Michelle Branch's Everywhere during all those summers long. blurring out on tha rooftops having it *rolling eyes*
I don't know why but english men are so fucking good at guitar take coxon, marr, squire, gallagher, butler etc. for example... man I wish I were fuccking english
Hello. Are you Mexican? Saludos.
@saborranchero that's kinda dumb (not meaning to be mean or anything).. there are plenty of shit British guitar players. Just be happy where you're from, who you are, and do the best you can. Music is universal and without boundaries.
@artrock101 Yeah... You're right. I guess I was trying to point out how the vast majority of bands I love and listen to are from England. But I agree with you, totally. Respect.
he should have been a superstar with his 2 solo albums and his work with mcalmont is way way better than the current musical landscape we have now.however im happy he is a well kept secret.super producer, talented songwriter and one the few talented people in the music industry.i dare say he has surpassed johnny marr in terms of everything
i agree with you. johnny marr was divine in the smiths, but bernard has been amazingly consistent. he was great in suede, with mcalmont, on his own... hell, i even enjoy rockferry despite hating duffy's voice!
Its like seeing & hearing for the firt time; James Taylor, George Harrison and a bit of Johnny Marrs all mixed into one person, this is superb..Thanks!
Brett wouldn't have written those lyrics, though, so the song would have been about something completely different. There's a sweetness to some of Bernard's solo work that we probably wouldn't have got from Suede. A lot of bad things came from Bernard's departure from Suede, but a lot of good things came from it, too.
I saw him at Bowery Ballroom too... one of the top 10 gigs I've seen in my life. The crowd was perfectly silent... and Joey Ramone was in the balcony.
thats such great video. looks really 70's. bb is such an important musician. alas though this clip shows he cant really convey his music or his lyrics with his voice.
my brother bought people move on when it fitrst came out and of course i hate it tennage brothers just don't like their older grown up brothers music i just regarded it as brit pop shite and i was quite happy listening my hard rock like aerosmith (yeah i know) anyway i just discovered the album on his computer and i am now hooked
Perfect.

The guy is a genius and I personally don't think he has got as much recognition as he clearly deserves.

Now imagine what Brett could have than with the vocals... It is a great loss that they departed in 1994.
