  • Alright. X Intercept. When you multiply 1 * 0, how did you get positive 2? I would've thought it would have been something like y = - 2. Can you explain how that negative no longer exists, and how you made the Y Intercept, the X Intercept?

  • hii im left-handed tooo :)

  • THANK YOU U MAKE IT SIMPLE

  • thamk you so much this video helped me very much

  • It's helpful =D

  • why did you put 3/2 in the middle of one and two could please respnd because this confuses me a bit :/

  • @koopakoop159 3/2 = 1.5, 2 goes into 3 only one time so it's 3/2 - 2/2 = 1/2 = 0.5

  • can you post word problems about this?

  • @jumongwu look up linear programming - i have videos that use inequalities

  • How did you get the 2, 1/2?

  • got*

  • alright, what if there is no Y ? like: x<-3 ?

  • alright, what if there is no Y ? like: x<-3 ?

  • You're awesome!

  • You are so much better than YourTeacher. They are robots and you are a real person thx so much! Best Teacher ON MATH! HIP HIP HORRAY!

  • I would have an A+ if u are my teacher ! But damm FML!'

  • im ur fan sir

  • excellent work dun man

  • Fu** "Educator.com" ads, all we need is Patrick yo!!!

  • This is a good thing that you're doing.

  • @AndreaNadiaR thanks : )

  • How did you get (2, 1/2)?

  • in x-y > 2 how did find the x intercept???

  • @elayda93 well, just pretend it is an equation and set y = 0 to get x = 2

  • Hey Patrick - I have to say thank you for your time and explanation. I am rusty and need to get reacquainted with this stuff asap.

Can I please suggest that you slow down to keep from mixing things up and keep the whiteboard in view? I say this because I am confused by what you're saying...

in x-y>2, when you convert all to the y-intercept of -2 and slope of 1... where does y=2 when it should be -2? It does work as far as the angle of line but it confused me. also when do you use rise/run?

  • @bmwm3ca NO YOU SUCK. END OF STORY

  • @LILDP101 it seems that person closed their acount. he probably tired of trolling : )

  • @iammii6000 u dont really have to mention nationality u know

  • how bout if the problem is 3x-2y>6

  • physics please,, if u can explain physics as u do algebra, ur gonna save my life

  • So we cant assume y=mx+b when the sign is just "greater than" or "less than" and not "greater than or equal to" or "less than or equal to"?

  • y>1x-2. why did you graph it as positive 2 and what do you mean by finding the y intercept by pluggin in 0?

  • PLLLLEEEEEAASSEEE Can you explain where the point should go if the sign is greater than or equal to. And can you explain a little better where the graph has to be shaded

  • would've been helpful if you woulda moved your hand when changing the inequalities!!

  • I'm a little confused about the x-int of y<1x-2. Why did you put the dot at point 2 in x-axis? I think I'm having a little difficulty at that part. Can you help me here? thanks. ^_^

  • This is great but i have a question, what do we do if one of the equations is an Equality and the rest are inequalities.

  • I'm lost. This is so frustrating.

  • could someone help me out here? why did he shade only that little triangle? i thought it would be more since you have to shade IN more? like dont they over lap somewhere else down the line?

  • Comment removed

  • Ugh, for some reason I just don't understand this. But then again I have a Russian teacher.

I'm completely stuck on how to solve:

    X+Y ≥ 0

    -X+Y ≥ 0

Just a pointer would really be helpful.

  • @iammii6000 "illitaret"? Ironic.

  • What if you have two lines that coincide with each other?

    So if I have...

    2x+y>2

    6x+3y<12

Would I shade the entire graph or not shade it at all?

  • u r amazing! thank u so much!

  • i have x<7.how do i do that

  • @matxloco

how the hell do u do x<2 ??? this guy has a point

  • Why is the 2nd point starting at x=2? shouldn't it start at y=-2 then 1 up and 1 to the right??

  • thanks for making this video, my teacher doesn't teach well and this helped me get caught up after missing a few days of school

  • wait, what happens to the x is greater than or equal to 0 and y is greater than or equal to 0? did u put them on the graph? do u even have to?

  • thank you so much!! very good explanations way better than my prof!

  • thats weird my teacher is an illiterate cuban too and sometimes she starts talking spanish for a few seconds.

  • Reminds me of my Cuban teacher too and shes obsessed with the number 9, and tries to use animals in her examples while explaining the equations which makes things even worst haha

  • u know last week she stopped reviewing for the test and the whole class started fighting about race. the teacher said shes proud to be cuban. and she brings that up too much i mean have pride but not while were trying to learn some math.

  • true thattt

  • awsome

  • JSYK he did have an explanation. It's just not in this video. And searching for that doesn't need hard work.

  • how do you do fractions in linear ineq

  • yes, the point is y=-2, but he just skipped ahead and put it one (2,0) because its a point on the slope.

  • HELP! I DONT GET THAT PART 3:54

Why did you put the point on 2 isn't it suppose to be y = -2?

OMG. i have my finals tomorrow. i don't like inequalities

  • well i have a problem that ends up being

    y <-x-2 would i change it to y<-1x-2

  • I saved my grade in Math thank you so much I luv u so much can u be my math teacher cuz he sucks

  • dammit. i need u to help me with the single ones. i forgot what line y greater than or equal to -1 goes. i kno -1 is the y-intercept but i remember my teacher saying like one was horizontal or something.....

  • do you know the music channel vh1 lol just put vh1 above your (x,y) xx is v for vertical and y is horizontal

  • AM SO DUMB u lose me when u change them to a Y= format so basically how do you do that??????

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

help help help help help help help help help....

  • i do not see any y = ... not sure what you mean!

  • he means the y=mx+b format

  • @patrickJMT i think they meant at 1:10 when your talking about graphing them like lines y = mx + b

  • which is named the

    slope-intercept form

    when it is in

    y=mx+b

    "m" is the slope

    "b" is the y-intercept

  • @mikiasball hahaha lmfao dont worry we all are dumb. :p
