  • 0:42- Admit it. You want to air-saxophone, don't you?

  • this is the kind of electric music that i can call music.not the creamfields shit that u have to be under the drugs effect to get it.

  • In 300 trillion years, just before the Universe ends and the final nebulae disperse their last rays of tepid light into the blackness, a faint sound plays out in a small unexplored region of the cosmos. If intelligent life still existed, it could perceive this sound. It is unmistakeable. It starts softly then grows determinedly into the opening salvoes of Bowie's 'V-2 Schneider'. The song plays, the song ends, and then there is Void.

  • christine f.

  • This was so radical. How did we start here and end up where we are now.

  • @chapaev36 where are we now?

  • No ads? They don't have a fucking clue..

I will play Bowie to my kids and they will love it.. I wont need to slap them about, lmfao .. But,...heeheehaha

  • I WANNA GO TO BERLIN!

  • This is BAD ! (bad means good.)

  • @halloweenjack1974

  • love this tune

  • Low is the greatest of all the berlin stuff but above all is the GLAM years... I'd even go so far as to say that I still 'dunno what I was looking for...'

  • So great!!!!!!!!

    From a great album.

It's like they spent the whole track trying to clearly say "V2 Schneider".

    But why?

    Who cares?

    Insane.

    Brilliant.

  • one of the best intros evah.

  • DAVID BOWIE/V-2 Schneider

    疾走してる気分になれる…。

  • interesting fact: the sax came in at the wrong time , but The Dame liked it and left in the "mistake"

  • I saw him perform this live in a small venue in 1998. I couldn't believe he did this song!

  • It's a soaring tribute to Krautrock and coke!

  • oh fuck i love bowie

  • i cant understand why people think 'low' is better to heroes

  • @stevent60 vous avez parfaitement raison

  • @stevent60

I agree. I don't get it. But I encounter it all the time. Heroes is so much better than Low.

  • @stevent60 me neither, heroes has far more substance and is more artistic and stuff, especially if you compare this to a song on low like be my wife for exampke

  • @andrew19vato Both albums r part of the great trilogy, low/heroes/lodger.. dont see how u can like one and hate another...'Be my wife' is a great tune. Heroes is, however , darker, more forbiding and more dissonant in sound. I like them all but will say there is nothing more creative than SPEED OF LIFE on Heroes!

  • @leonakita ive listened to low recently and i think it's amazingtoo. do you prefer his earlier stuff like aladin sane, ziggy stardust etc. or the berlin days?

  • @andrew19vato actually rereading my post , SPEED OF LIFE is on LOW, not HEROES. I like much of his early work as well and love his desire and ability to 'change'. The Berlin trilogy is his work with Brian Eno and his influence is well noted. I do love Brian Eno as well. Followup 1980 album SCARY MONSTERS featuring Robert Fripp is one of my favorites albeit pretty heavy. 80s work was his least inspired returning to form for 1992's BLACK TIE, and 1995's OUTSIDE,both very diff creative affairs.

  • It was a tribute to Florian Schneider, co-founder of the band Kraftwerk, whom Bowie acknowledged as a significant influence at the time.....

  • @GeckoBasilisk haha, a direct quote from wiki. ah well, true none the less

  • @GeckoBasilisk

Knowing bowie we may supose it's was humour cause bowie is a true creative and pragmatic bud and i 'm not really sure he apreciated kraft's monolitic style (:>).

Ok its' true this song sounds like "Europe Endless" track(1977).

  • Great tribute to Kraftwerk´s Florian Schneider! Thank you David!

  • @cpskadatisberg Tell us more ... does the V2 part mean "Victory to Schneider" then? Cool ...

  • @averilleX db had a dubious flirtation with Nazism

  • @Kubrickfan1 Yea i remember it vaguely ... guess it's a consequence of having so much fanatical adulation directed at oneself. The v2 was a rocket yeah.
