  • The names are terrible, but god damn the techniques is AMAZING!!!!!! Eddie Bravo for the win!

  • Does he say ''crack-head'' control??

  • @joncobber Yes. Lol! Chill dog, retard control, (for people with "retard strength" I guess, and then the infamous crack head control, lol! :D Gotta love it!

  • damn i wish there was a 10th planet near me.

  • love playing rubberguard. If you have the flexibility, it's very useful especially against a bigger opponent

  • Dude watch the hair man!!

  • to each his own hes proved his worth

  • Just one question... Why do u grab over the foot when u do doubble bagger? why not under like mission control etc.?

Ps: bigest 10th planet fan :P

  • @pocco666 its kinda hard to hold the other foot in place if u hook under like mission.unless ur arms are pretty long

  • @jas108 Your arms won't get longer (assuming you're pretty much fully grown), but you can always become more flexible in your legs and hips. It'll take quite a few uncomfortable hours of your life to really see a real difference in flexibility, but guys like Eddie, Aoki and BJ Penn are examples of how it can be a great asset. Hell, BJ uses his legs like arms on the floor. Stretch a lot. It's worth it.

  • @travesham yea i definitely am.im seeing improvement in my flexibility already.i can now pull rubber guard from my closed guard, where as before i had to turn at an angle or get foot on hip control in guard

  • I trained Brazilian jiu jitsu in Brazil for several years and have been studying it deeply, my opinion is that Eddie Bravo was able to create and apply effectively the Rubber guard, he also adapted other forms(not the traditional ones) of holding the opponent in the guard that works better for the rubber guard so all this combined together has proved to be effective he is a pioneer and a creator for that reason he deserves all the respect from all Jiu Jitsu practitioners around the world.

  • You can hate The rubber guard system all you want, but making false claims is not the way to do it. Forcing the hand to the matt is adressesd. And I stress the word FORCE because it implies control , rather then passively waiting for your opponent to make mistakes. Nevertheless it may not always be possible to get your opponents hand to the mat 100% of the time, however in that case there ARE Transitions to positions that adress that situation as well.

  • @cnakm

Correct me if am wrong, but remind me which techs are the ones that can't be defended, you know the ones that don't require the other guy to mess up?

  • have you tried it

  • @cnakm Denny propokos got bronze in the NO-gi mundials in the black belt division. He won the brown belt division. Get over it hater, rubber guard is effective. Just like all guards.

  • @cnakm

ricardo almeida does rubber guard u silly gouse and i have seen serra do it in the hughes fight

  • dipshit

  • everytime i think of rubber guard i think of eddie bravo

  • Eddie is a jujitsu god!

  • @seancarletonzero you must be fucking retarded. he didn't even make rubber guard, it was John Danaher. A purple belt at our gym tapped bravo, he's a glorified pothead got his 15 minutes because hes friends with joe rogan. i mean just listen to this pothead " go to crackhead control" "retard control" any great jiu jitsu player always uses GI and he doesn't

  • I think Eddie is a funny guy and sort of a rebel so some people are turned off by him. It's mostly the weed thing though.

By the way anyone who thinks weed should remain illegal is probably ill-informed or an asshole. Way too think outside "box the".

I know a blue belt who kept beating purple belts and was given a purple belt, by the guy he kept beating because while he didn't "earn it" he was better than a purple belt on the mat.

Wouldn't he be more famous in jiu jitsu

  • for tapping a Gracie?

  • @cnakm

I thought his fame came from tapping a blackbelt Gracie, as a brown belt? But you do have a point, people who give things silly names can't possibly be good grapplers, and what kind of idiot would train in a system that is not aware people only attack you with a gi on.

  • lol, that is all...

    PS: your an idiot...
