The records also say Alexander beat Kotelnik when we know it was robbery of the year....you gotta look at Sexy's performances. Both were great. Manny had 1 great one against Tony and another ho-hum, dull one against Clottey in fights he was expected to dominate. Sexy was an underdog in both his. Gotta consider those factors.
Disappointing fight of the year for me was mayweather/Mosley. Nothing against Mayweather who was great, but after that 2nd rnd Mosley was a HUGE letdown. I'm not saying that wasn't a lot to do with Floyd's brilliance, but c'mon dude, let your hands go.
And finally the "Lennox Lewis" award for shitty commentating goes to Roy Jones Jr. for his efforts during the Ortiz/Peterson fight. Roy picks up on some astute points from time to time, but my fucking god, had he pointed out the size difference Ortiz had just ONE MORE TIME I swear I would have sliced my own ears off.

Actually, it my be a stretch to call Khan a prospect, but in a lot of ways he still is. I think he's a bit behind Bradley, but has a greater upside. Upset of the year is definitely Mundine getting ko'ed for me. Mundine's not bad and he got laid out by a terrible fighter- basically a novice. G Johnson's comeback was somewhat impressive at a lower weight, but really, it's only Green he beat. I'd probably go Hopkins, who looked real bad in his last two before coming back real strong against Pascal.

I think Peterson has been chosen because A) They don't want Khan taking a lot of punishment after the Maidana fight, and B) He's a boxer and definitely better preparation for Bradley/Alexander than say Prescott would have been. Actually, it my be a stretch to call Khan a prospect, but in a lot of ways he still is. I think he's a bit behind Bradley, but has a greater upside. Upset of the year is definitely Mundine getting ko'ed for me. Mundine's not bad and he got laid out by a terrible fighter- basically a novice. G Johnson's comeback was somewhat impressive at a lower weight, but really, it's only Green he beat. I'd probably go Hopkins, who looked real bad in his last two before coming back real strong against Pascal.

@Skirt and so was Mann 8th divisional title. Pavlik is a drunk who may never fight again. He hasn't looked good since beating Taylor in 08 (who's also outta boxing) The Paul Ko was gangsta buy I'm not sure I can make him "foty" esp when he lost this year. Normally u gotta be undefeated in the year.

@ringking187... I thought Sergio and Paul's first fight was last year? Regardless, that fight was so close I don't hold the loss against him. I actually had him winning the first one. I'd also give him points above Manny for beating the two best guys in his division. Pavlik's better than Clottey and Williams was better than Margs at the time, regardless of who much Panther will argue against that.

I think Peterson has been chosen because A) They don't want Khan taking a lot of punishment after the Maidana fight, and B) He's a boxer and definitely better preparation for Bradley/Alexander than say Prescott would have been. But I agree with you guys, it's not exactly a fight to get excited about.

@DirkDigglerV3... I like your list. I'd give Serg the nob over Manny for FighterOTY too. I think he was an underdog in both those wins. He also gets KO of the year obviously. Easily best big fight KO since Manny stretched Hatton. 3 fights in contention for fight of the year are Khan/Maidana, Burns/Martinez, Calderon/Segura. I'd prob give it to Burns/Mart, based on the great momentum swings in that fight. Roach trainer of the year. I can't think of too many great prospects atm, so maybe degale.

Just re-watched the fight, I had Soapy winning 114-112, I gave him the last 8 outta 9 rounds. It wasnt a total robbery and i guess technically you could say a draw could be feasible because of the scoring system...but Pascal did not deserve to win that fight in the big picture. Hes lucky he got those kd's, he was the one who fought like he was 45. He fought like how Hopkins did against Calzaghe/Taylor, running around trying to win by throwin 1 or 2 flashy punches a round. He's shit.

@DirkDigglerV3 Look, Abraham caught froch with a glancing blow in the 12th and it made him do the 2 step..and abraham aint no coward he just believes too much in his power, as well he should as it is phenomenal but he needs to learn how to slip and land...he is still A grade in my books..just needs some imagination..froch did well but he aint that good his boxing skills are average..froch impresses me when he trades and talks shit..when he is slick whilst it was effective..its a snore fest.
