Yeah, you could. You don't have to run out and buy the exact same colors that she does. You can just use whatever you have on hand. Besides, your skin tone might be different from hers, so what looks good on her might not work so well on you. I think it's more important to understand the technique, and tailor it to your own features, rather than feel like you have to use the exact same products.

Yeah, do NOT give into the urge. Your hair is the perfect tone for your skin :) Somehow my hair has stayed relatively healthy, but it is currently stuck pitch black because I refuse to strip it so I can dye over it. I'm pretty sure it would fall out :P
