@Youriberg This video is a basic tutorial only. You can do it with 2.5 as well, but the template need to be ready for it, or you could install a plugin that makes it ready. The default template that follow installation on 2.5 needs to be adjusted.
But many have it already included in the template. (ex rockettheme)
Instead of drop-down menu, I want to have filters (Option can be selected from multiple filters at a time, but option from different menus can not be select at a time)- How should I go about it? i.e. I don't want menu but filters that can fetch appropriate data from database depending on multiple filters' option selection.
@ganeshwatve Joomla is not made to use filters in order to see a dropdown menu. (Like a menu that builds itself dynamicly). In order to make that you will need to make a plugin/ component that will do that, and present the result in a menu. I dont do this, but I know you can find it on the internet. If you need to custom made something like this try freelancers(.)com.
If the template is not ready for a dropdown menu, you might use Maximenu CK.
