Another one of their top tracks. And performed falwlessly again. Such a good honest band who actually write and play proper music. No fancy mixing or effects. Just plain and simply brilliant.
This is one of my favorite songs by Marillion. It's almost as if it was written by me, about my ex-fiancee. It's right on the mark, and the tonality of Hogarth's voice matches the words so well.
By the way... about 17 years later, and now my "theme song" for my wife and my daughter is "Made Again"... another Marillion tune. How do they do that, matching my life?
@BitterBosh : Absolutely. One of the most underated bands of all time too. I remember when Fish left (still love that era too), and was skeptical the band could continue. Hogarth blew me away .. and continues too. Pours his heart out all the time, but this one (song and performance) really is amazing. The other Steve is always inspiring as well ... you can watch him living those moments/music during his solos.
where was this recorded?the acoustics are brilliant.this is a great version of this song.marillion are a very underrated band and deserve more credit than they receive.
Hogarth and Fish are both deities. Depth and emotion are shared with different emphasizes. The commonality shows that the band are the true pantheon. Thank you Steve, Pete, Mark and Ian, for bringing raw emotion to everything you touch.
Damn, and they didn't post my previous comment since it contained a URL - I had a shot at 2001 and mentioned the audio was available for download from marillion dot com. :o) (I got the dvd ages ago in the end, yay!)
Why can't peope shut the fuck up about Fish??? The lanky bald fat twat has gone, get over it. Hogarth is at least a musician.
