  • I ended up placing my sa12 in a 1.84 prefab with a CSS APR15. What a difference from the sealed 1.0. The radiator is currently inverted until i get some spacer rings, so I havent made any adjustments in weight (the adjustments are made from the front of the PR). I slapped it together real quick, but once i get my spacers, i will reseal the box and be able play around with tuning. So far I am very impressed with the output, lows, flat response and lack of roll off.

  • Thanks :) Larger box, no. at least, only if the back of the PR touches the magnet of the active driver. That is something you'll just have to try and see. I had to use a sealed 15" box to make this combination fit if that is any indication. I spent DAYS modeling this in BB6pro. I seem to recall the Sundown SA series woofers didn't have as nice a response curve or tuning frequency as the RE series woofers. Long story short: it will work, but won't be as efficient as this setup.

  • Impressive!!! I just put a Sundown sa 12 in a 1.0 f3 sealed box. I'm thinking about doing this. Would that same TC work? Would i also need a larger box?

  • Song is "Kid Sister - Pro Nails (Rusko mix)"
