Lets not forget the hard-working voice actors, especially Huang Yiqing 黄怡晴 that has done excellent voicing Huang Rong! Her voice is one of the best & angelic I've ever heard, I truly think she deserves ALOT more credit!

VAs spend a lot of time in environments witih very small amoutn of fresh air, second hand smoke, recording over 12 hrs a day, making our characters come to life.

i hope after guo jing gets a new hairdo he'll no longer disappoint me by becoming smarter or something. the kind, big hearted guo jing really gets on my nerve cause he's so nice that he always fall for yang kang's lies. since i couldn't wait for the rest of the eng sub to get uploaded here on youtube i went ahead and download it. hopefully this drama won't leave me disappointed.

@reNoei 08 version is different from 03. The plot is basically the same but like.. there are differences. Just watch it and you'll know (: & I really like the 03 version too, saw it twice xD that means a lot cus I don't usually watch series twice :P

I was fortunate to get my hands on this drama with english subs.Made a copy so that when I m old and have enough time again, I'll watch this once again.A wonderfull movie.I've watched 1983 series as well.I think it'd be unappropriate to make a decision b/w the two.

The graphics are awesome and the acting is superb.Love the character played by Rongii.

Do you know the character she plays - Huang Rong? There are not many characters more free-spirited than her. Ariel surprised many of us and did an excellent job here. The ultimate Huang Rong, imo.

1983 was good. This one is also very good. Watch it with an open mind and give it a chance. Even my parents who are diehard 1983 adaptation fans were won over by this.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the drama. Just keep an open mind to changes fm the novel - the changes do enhance the story. Most characters are better fleshed out here eg Guo Jing starts off naive and matures as the show progresses.

there are eng sub for the entire serie, although, it's dubebd in catonese...actually, it should not matter since they dubbed som of the actors in tmandarin as well.

i also dont like how they dubbed most ppl's voice. i think only hu ge's voice is the same. they even dubbed xie na's, which is weird, but perhaps cuz she doesnt have that whiny voice that hua zheng is supposed to have.

i dont care if taiwanese ppl have different accents, they should keep the same cuz its more natural like that. poor ariel!

As far as I know, it's a China/Taiwan production. I don't really see any TVB artists as part of the main cast.

Brian Leung, who portrays the Northern Beggar, is from TVB. He's known for his role for the Return of the Condor Heroes starring Andy Lau and Idy Chan as Yang Gor and Xiao Long Nu, respectively. Kathy Chow did some porjects for ATV and now doing one project for TVB. Anthony Wong did a few TVB programs.

Too much white powder on Hu Ge's face that makes him looks unnatural. And the story has been done so many times that even though I don't understand Chinese, I still don't need the translation. That's the disadvantage of a remake. Hopefully it'll be OK. The version to beat is LOCH 1994 with Julian Cheung and Athena Chu.
