@BUCKCRAZY27, Thanks for your thoughts. I am the director of the program and all are certainly entitled to their opinions.
We are so proud of this show. This was only the second year of this program but there was a lot of potential! Its not extremely "chop" heavy, but there is more to drumming than that. We played tough stuff, but only when it was called for.We wanted to be musical, entertaining and effective and it seems we did that. I see you were with Cab Calloway? Enjoyed your program!
@TheSuperguz omg we practiced so much. Two days a week for 3 hours starting in mid December, and when we didnt have any competitions on saturday's we would practice for about 7ish hours (with about an hour for lunch). It was intense, sometimes very complicated and hard... but as you can see it all played off.
@TheSuperguz Were you the group that stayed in the hotel right across from us? I always remembered a group going outside to practice kinda early in the morning when we were still sleeping :P
@TheSuperguz Yeah i think you guys are who I'm thinking of. I know this year we are going to be staying at the same hotel, maybe we will see each others percussion units each day again. That would be cool. What division are you guys in? We moved up to Scholastic A last year.
@yoshi401 I'm not sure if they're going to Wildwood this year, honestly. We had a new director take over this year, and I'm not sure what his plans are. I do know that they're Scholastic Concert Percussion now. I won't be joining them either way...I graduated last June.
@yoshi401 I swear I replied to this a long time ago. They aren't going to Wildwood this year (to my knowledge). I actually graduated...I wouldn't be going either way lol.
