@c4tze Well, maybe it's not to late to fix your picking technique. Players with weird picking style always run a risk of injuring their hand. Chronic tendinitis in your wrist is not fun at all. I had that 5 years ago. Now every time I pick up a guitar I have to force myself to go through a proper warmup exercises before I actually play.
So if you have that kind of picking technique you're probably using wrong groups of muscles. Which can bring you trouble down the road.
