Just got the S&W 500 4" barrel. My first time shooting it I put 2 shots in the head of a silhouette 1 right above his right eye and the other between his eyebrows. Then put the other 3 rounds side by side (only a centimeter or 2 spread ) in his chest. It was at 8 yards. (Average distance for an indoor shooting range) That silhouette is now hanging at the gun range with an empty casing taped to it :-).
