  • a bass drum shell as a coffee table, just brilliant...

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!! What an awesome feel Stanton has!!!!!!!!!

One of the most organic feels around!

  • Why in the world does anyone think Stanton Moore is better than Terry Bozzio or Neil Peart? If Peart or Bozzio was to show Stanton how to play a part from Rush or Zappa you think Stanton would play it perfectly the first time? All drummers have their strengths and weaknesses. And to say that Peart or Bozzio hide behind big drum kits it the biggest fallacy I have ever heard. They both played much smaller kits earlier on and in different parts of their career.

  • Same with Neil Pert - hides behind a big kit.

  • Terry Bozzio, Is a gimmick drummer, he seems like he hides behind those 20+ drums and cymbals, cause he has no decent talent. I mean it looks like Stanton is teaching a 4 year old how to play drums.

  • @Drumminsince89 a gimmick drummer? he has played on "Normal kits" and The man played for Frank Zappa for crying outloud.

  • Bozzio.. man like he looks so out of place, almost uncomfortable. I don't even think of him as a drummer really anymore, he looks so dumb on a normal kit

  • Weird. Bozzio, one of the most technically proficient drummers of the last 30 years, looks really uncomfortable with that shuffle. Like Keltner says, everybody has something to offer, everbody does something nobody else can. Don't doubt The Bozzio though. He's beyond monsterous.

  • GREAT FEEL From Staton moore, love his playing, But to all you Bozzio Naysayers about his ablity to groove..umm he played with Frank Zappa listen to the Zoot Allures cd- many of the cuts have super smokin grooves, and with a smaller kit,and and his work with Missing Persons.. he played grooves smoother,& with color, than any machine..tight, very intense, minimal to the point.. go do your home work..sheesh...

  • For those considering Bozzio as a "non groovy" drummer, get a chance to listen

to a cd like "heavy metal bebop" with the Brecker Brothers.

Of course, his performing here, is not accurate but I admire his simplicity and

wisdom to show himself as a student in his own TV show.

    Respect to you, mister Bozzio!

  • lol when Stanton completely rips off Cissy Strut.

  • All this critisism of Bozzio is probably unfair... I mean, it was one performance, the drums sound were definetely not dounding like SMs. Also, he seemed to be letting SM run the show while he acted as a student. And one more thing, He simply may have been tired or 'out of it'.

  • ha bozzo got no pocket

  • its still a four piece kit with an extra floor tom.............. so year a 5 piece kit. lolololol

  • This is proof that Terry isn't all he's cracked out to be. He's a TECHNICAL drummer, not a groove drummer. He can play insane independence patterns and reach insane speeds, but he can't play the basics.

  • @XxStrongDrums1996xX

    This this this this

  • Bozzio should sell his huge drumset and buy a huge metronome instead.

  • the mighty Terry Bozzio brought down by a simple funk groove! You think when he was playing he was thinking, "oh shit, thousands of people are gonna see this?"

  • even I could play that beat better than bozzio did lol

  • lol when Terry tries to immitate Stanton, and is nowhere near as groovy

  • @SuperDrummerJoe lol terrys drums aren't tuned good, his snares are turned off, and he's only using one one overhead.

  • @SuperDrummerJoe And that's why Stanton is the monster that he is hahaha Couldn't agree more!

  • @SuperDrummerJoe Terry is like the most modest person alive.. and he wasn't trying to out do Stanton lol Sure stanton may sound better at doing new orleans grooves. but put stanton on terry's kit.. he'd have a heart attack lol

  • What the hell is that red dot at 0:12?

  • @Juddyism part of his cymbal

  • @MrManganinja its not part of his cymbal. its a glitch in the camera

  • @shotgundaisy The same thing appeared on another DrumChannelOfficial video

  • bozzio looks stupid on such a small kit hahaha

  • @ShineDrums27 Exactly! Totally out of place1

  • I want to marry that Gretsch.

  • I feel like Bozzio just got schooled... not surprised!

  • great great feel !!

  • 1:22 great!

  • GRETSCH AND DW (PLUS BOSPHORUS), AMAZING! when i get my new kit im gettin gretsch and bosphorus just like stanton

  • I think 22-12-14-16 is enought for any music situation. You dont need bigger toms. Anyway Stanton is one of my idols

  • @godzuki444 Not. Why do you think Stanton uses different sizes? The feel and sound of a big drum is different than smaller ones. Pretty basic fact.

  • nice!
