No, it was a virtual copy of the original emperor from the Evil of the Daleks, and the design of the chamber is the same...I have to hand it to Fraust66, it is very, very good and very imaginative too...
Oh I don't know, if you listen to the audio recording of Evil available today the Emperor is fairly dramatic. Mostly in terms of a few dramatic pauses, and I suppose through the crazy level of volume they gave him.
This is really good stuff though - bringing life to the unseen glue that keeps the Who universe working.
No no I think you're quite right - the Evil incarnation of the Emperor was definitely one of the more dramatic Daleks. "You will take the Dalek Factor. You wiill spread it... through the ENTIRE HISTORY... OF EARTH !!", with the usual rising of pitch as he draws to the conclusion of the sentence springs to mind :p
Still, the Daleks have almost always been a pretty emotional bunch (with that emotion being hatred, of course). It's totally different to the genuinely mono-tonal Cybermen.
Dont try to run before you can walk.Read the tuitorals & learn the interface of the program. Also search youtube for Daz tuitoral video's & read the forums on Daz's own site.I hope that helps you out.Fraust66 :)
Wow, the Emperor Dalek returned? owo That's awesome, I thought he was a one-shot wonder, looks like I was wrong, since I got into Classic Doctor Who Frontier in Space was one of the episodes on my watch-list, but I couldn't find it online. ^^;; He sounds ALOT like the Emperor in the 2005 series, rather than he did in Evil of the Daleks, interesting how that works out.
Nice work Faust, thanks for making another classic scene. :)
Thanks for the feedback Im glad you enjoyed it.The audio came from a BBC Audio book called the Dalek conquests, this scene was only on the audio CD.Frontier in Space is one of the only ones missing from my collection as well!!!
Did these Daleks not pay their Light bill?

Interesting, that Emperor Dalek reminded me more of the one from Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways...

I meant more in the way it speaks, than it's appearance...
sslaxx 3 years ago 2
Yes, you are correct, the voice is the same...I thought you meant the appearance.
Bez1960 3 years ago 2
It was voiced by nicholas briggs.

It was more in the tonal delivery. It was a more emotional delivery than in the classic Who story featuring the Emperor.
sslaxx 3 years ago 2
I understand this, but there's a lot of controversy over the timeline of the daleks so this may be the same or completely different emperor.

I heard the Emperor seen in "Evil" was Davros from the audio story "Terror Firma"?
Trayusstudent1 3 years ago 2
Actually, according to the novelization of "Evil", it's supposed to be the Dalek that exterminates Davros in Genesis.

Ah. I probably read it wrong...

The Emperor's voice here reminds me of the Mysterons - perhaps slightly less deep...

Nice vid. Really well done. To ask a nerdy question, how long did each frame of that take to render in Daz. Just curious.

these would hav been great ideas to put in the classic era to show the daleks r always going strong as the most powerful race in the universe
