Their music speaks for itself... they were unique... trailblazers... and wrote and played some of the most intricate music... I love the sustained notes.... the harmonies are great... even if you thought they were not cool in the late 70s... and hated disco... they were pioneers and that same music now really, no pun intended, strikes a chord with everyone who can really dig music..
ooooohhh,Robin just love the way you sway your body, youre sooo handsome and sexy here(bare chest, only a jacket) But I dont discount the talent and voice of Barry.if only you can all turn back the hands of time........anyway,still my heart jumps with joy for the Beegees.Love you and take care Robin.from the Philippines
My sister and I were kids when Bee Gees celebrated their peek in career, and we used to listen to their songs nearly every day. I was 13 when this performance took place. It's amazing how certain things in life have such impact on you and your soul that it's impossible to forget them ever. Bee Gees will never be forgotten!
Damn! That stage really kicks ass! That stated, of all off The Bee Gees #1 singles, this is the one i liked the least. It didn't have the punch of the others I feel. Oh well, I still like them.
The Bee Gees, quite possibly the most popular group to hit the seventies. With this song as the pinnacle to make their careers launch to new heights. But blazing a trail of continuous hits they breached the top one hundred billboard with five songs taking the top five spots. The only, ONLY group to ever do it within a two year span. No other group has ever done it since. Always a treat to hear such classics from the most amazing band in history. We'll miss their brothers andy, maurice and robin
Great song!. Great singers..... but there are over dubing in voices. There almost 6 or 9 Bee Gees singin at the same time ( thes it is a studio over dubing in voices...sure! .
I have been searching for footage from around the time that I saw them and this is it. It was my first concert and I didn't even know I saw them until many years later. My only memories were of three men in white suits on the stage and the best music I had ever heard! This video is a visual walk down memory lane for me! I truly believe my love for live concerts started here! I can't believe I finally came across this! I was 15 years old and to know I'll never see the three of them together? Sad.
One of the amazing things about this group is when you watch them they are REALLY enjoying what they are doing. Successful people have similar things in common - Skill/talent and 'love' for what they are doing. Thanks for the memories, these songs bring me back to happier days :)
I love the Beegees they are the best of all the top groups you mention.. I 've never just sat and listened to any os the others like I do the Beegees..I listen to them in the car , great driving music.. love going to the country listening to them...
Ladies and gentlemen I give you the FIRST family of rock and roll and they were amazing showmen to boot. Others may disagree this is my opinion oh did i forget to mention they wrote produced arranged they,re own music they were not living off of sombody elses talent.
I ♥ the Bee Gees! originally made up of three brothers: Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb...them & little Andy, lived their first years in Manchester, England & then moved in the late 1950s to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, where they began their musical careers...A very successful one! I miss you guys a LOT!!! ♥ u all ;)
Criminy, I want the the video of this whole concert so badly! This is the video that made me fall in love with this song. For the simple reason that all of them, and most especially Barry, look so freakin' happy. To see them feed off the live audience like that is amazing. And even with the 70s 'do, Barry gives me a little heart flutter! *swoon* Also thanks for the karaoke words, I am TERRIBLE at understanding lyrics, even more so ones sung in falsetto!
The first few seconds of the musical instrumental. You know? No matter how your day is going, if you are lucky enough to hear that in your car I'm sure your hand reaches for the volume dial to turn it up some and your day feels just a bit better. And though most of us can't sing with that voice, we sure try don't we? lol
its amazing. these guys have a perfect harmony whether singing regular or falsetto.name me 1 group from today that has the voice these guys do.6th all time record sales.only elvis,m.jackson and the like have more than these guys.and you never hear them on the radio anymore.saw a documentary on the 3 days ago.5/22/11. only robin and barry left.2 of the most humble guys on the planet.hats off to a 40 yr career..
@forjesus911 Yeah, that's what annoys me so much all the time! The people today, especially the Americans (radio etc, who ignored them and their music after the disco crash), are just too cool for them! Always those prejudices: They hear the name Bee Gees and think "Ah Ah Ah Ah Staying Alive! They are no good"! But if they listened once to their music without prejudices, they'd be stunned. This music is incredibly powerful. People today would still like it, if they weren't too cool! So unfair!
The Bee Gees best song of the nineties was "For Whom The Bell Tolls". Woman In Love and Chain Reaction are 2 classics which they wrote for someone else. No doubting this is their signature tune.
TO ALL THOSE THAT CANT READ THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION, THE UPLOADER CLEARLY STATES THAT THE SINGING IS FROM THE ORIGINAL TRACK, THE SINGING IN THIS VIDEO IS NOT FROM THE SPIRITS TOUR. THANKS
@katanaguy100 Maurice is the Bee Gee that gives all the song the perfect sound. Go and see NIGHTS ON BROADWAY 1975 MIDNIGHT SPECIAL. and you will see. You are going to love that one.
