ok i feel relieved. just this year i beat the game because about 7 years ago i couldn't get past the forsaken fortress and gave up. then i got my brother to beat it for me and for 3 weeks i spent my days slaving away (one time until 4 in the morning!) because i was so determined :P i never beat many games, so i'm pretty proud of myself!

It is kinda weird that (if it's true) Zoras evolved into Rito. Like, from water to flying beings. Plus, with a racial ability to fly, like in the air, it's weird that she is the sage of the Earth Temple. Still, Medli is awesome and there is nothing to complain about over this game. I just can't put this together :p

@AlAksful Well, the original sages of Earth and Wind were Laruto and Fado, who were a Zora and a Kokiri respectively, and Medli and Makar are a Rito and a Korok. The Rito and Korok tribes are the evolved forms of the Zora and Kokiri.

@karilogo This is because songs like the dragon roost isle and most of the songs from spirit tracks are based on traditional Inca songs, which heavily use stringed instruments (such as the guitar or mandola), and the pan flute (the flute link plays in spirit tracks).

I still don't get how the Rito are descended from Zora... They're birds, the Zora are fish. It makes no sensssseee. It makes even less sense that the Earth Temple's sage is a ZORA. WATER. EARTH. NO.

hyrule fell upon some hard times, so the king of hyrule downsized from the original 6 temples to only 2 temples in hopes of saving a few bucks (go figure). Like most actions taken by governments in hard times, this only exacerbated the problem, and for centuries after this foolish move activity in hyrule literally ground to a halt. To make things worse, there weren't enough sages now, so hyrule was SOL. The rest is explained in the opening.

If anything it's easier for them because their fins evolve to have feathers instead of scales and they already have the protruding body parts. All little blessing from the sky god lets them gain the ability to fly and presto, instead of fish people you have bird people.

and the reason there are still fish is that we don't live under the ocean, competing primarily for the food that fish eat. Its just like how there are still gorillas even though we evolved from them. Fish do a better job living in the water than we do, so they would survive in the ocean better than we do, wouldn't they?

@0DarkByakko0 The reason the Zora's had to evolve into winged beings is because, as said in the game, the great sea does not spawn any fish, as well it only contains monsters. The zora's ended up evolving so they could find food and not go extinct.
