"Everlasting" and "for ever and ever" actually translates age lasting or ages of the ages translated from the original greek text. eternal hell is a lie made up by the church of the dark ages.
I would like you to explain why a god who is so loving would put human beings here, for a relatively SHORT TIME, to live our lives wrought with challenges, hardship and and grief. Jesus might have talked about hell a lot. But his biggest message was love. I will never use hell as a way of ministry. When i talk about God i talk about His love and the fullness of a life found in him, not trying to scare someone into giving their lives. When we preach a fire and brim stone message we are just trying to sell fire insurance, and once you have purchased your fire insurance by walking the roman road or how ever you come to that, there isnt much relationship after that.

In sunday school the topic of hell is the most covered thing with vivid descriptions for children that traumatize them so much that for the rest of there life there purpose is to avoid going to hell. Jesus might have talked about hell a lot. But his biggest message was love. I will never use hell as a way of ministry. When i talk about God i talk about His love and the fullness of a life found in him, not trying to scare someone into giving their lives. When we preach a fire and brim stone message we are just trying to sell fire insurance, and once you have purchased your fire insurance by walking the roman road or how ever you come to that, there isnt much relationship after that.

In as much as Christ died to give you life in Heaven without end He likewise died to save you from hell without end. Our life in Heaven never ends. The suffering in the lake of fire never ends. In sunday school the topic of hell is the most covered thing with vivid descriptions for children that traumatize them so much that for the rest of there life there purpose is to avoid going to hell. The bible predicted the chronological cycle, that the earth was round, Job chapter 40 start at verse 14 or 15, It speaks of dinosaurs or Dragons as they use 2 call them. Before Christ arrived, GOD severely punishes people, and it's like we're all designed to go to hell, I agree with 42child. But because Jesus was sent, he saved/prevented us from going there. We all have our lifetime to do what should be done. Love of God has always been taken out of context. To all those who want proof that God is real, you can look at what the bible says about proving the existence of God. You are to prove the existence of God through bible prophecy. God knows the past and the future. Many prophecies have already happened as the bible says they would, many more future prophecies will happen. See prophecies of Israel for example. God bless.

The Bible does not teach eternal punishment. God’s love & mercy endures forever. Does it really endure forever or only in this life? How can it be Good News if it doesn’t translate to the afterlife? God will still judge but He will not punish forever. He’s a better father than we are, right?
