  • Tadashimori is in this video? How can that be?are you guys brothers and sisters?does tadashi have his own channel

  • I like this one very much :)

  • tissue paper makes this alot easier....

  • this is one of my most folded pieces, its one of the few memories i have of my grandma, her teaching me this. thanks for the memories!

  • Спасибо, получилось, очень понятно и подробно рассказано)

  • I dont know why people complain about how their paper rips etc.

I did it from COPY PAPER on my first try and it turned out perfectly well.I even showed a guy over my friends webcam how to make it :)

  • yay~ i did it with very thick an small paper on my FIRST try

  • i like the womans vioce its nice and calming

  • haha omg her voice sounds like the computer voice on C&C!

  • i was kinda waiting for it to rip lol

  • -Almost done, one of the last fold.. c'mon...

    *Rip the paper*

    FFFFFUUUUUUUUUU.....

  • i did this in printer paper...

  • mom:where are u going

me:to kill 6 morons with no origami taste

    mom:alone

me:no with 66 people with origami taste

  • Why does it rip when I try to make the first petals?

  • @greenylimew Try using a paper napkin or some relatively soft paper - maybe that will help. There is quite some paper tension, so stiffer paper can easily rip.

  • @greenylimew you can try unfold the last tick part, reverse fold, and then just adjust the tick fold.(thats how i did )

  • @greenylimew

push on the little fold you make at 4:08 at the same time as trying to pull the first petals. And do it slowly.

  • Love the duo.

  • very nice tank you for this video

  • thanx for making it so easy! :D

  • its cool, i keep ripping it when i invert the folds to form the petals though ... any idea why? i used proper origami paper, maybe i folded it too tight in the first place?

  • It does have to do with your paper choice somewhat, but I think you can do a lot with applying the pressure in the exact right place and supporting the paper in the places where it tends to rip. If the paper is too thick, it will be almost impossible not to rip it (unless you dampen it, maybe). The same holds for too stiff paper (which will usually be heavier, too). You can also try folding it from paper or cloth napkins.

  • Im really starting to like origami!:))

  • Sara, why is your camera sometimes out of focus? Its kind of weird and makes the video blurry. (Only some parts)

  • I keep ripping the petals off. Any way to keep that from happening, other than using less force? I think it's the paper I'm using, I'm using standard printer paper.

  • You could try using a large square. It should work with office paper, although origami paper should rip less easily. It might be about adding pressure on the right points.

  • Ah, it might've been the size, I used a bigger square of paper and I got it to work. Thanks! :D

  • Nice origami! You both work great as a team. : ) It's amazing that I made one out of a piece of origami paper that measures3.75 centimeters on each side! it was really painful, though. LOL.

  • Probably because your's has been available for over a year, whereas this one was uploaded a good week ago. ;)

  • what a pretty little model.

  • This is a terrific model, and the dual teaching method worked out nicely since it's a simple one as well. Although, I'm curious why you did decided to team up. In any case, you are both very good folders and very clear teachers. : )

  • I just taught my family how to do this and they said this video was a wonderful one. :)

  • Thank you tadashimori and AdamsSara for this great video! Today I taught 5 little girls (ages 6-10) how to make it, and they were able to make some themselves! It just goes to show that you guys are very good teachers!

  • That's super! It proves to show that *you* are a very good teacher.

  • Great video, as always =)

This model works great to put a glass in to decorate the dinner table for special occasions, if you use a big enough paper napkin.

  • I absolutely agree. Also, the reverse folds, which are harder with standard paper, are easier to make with napkins. and having larger "paper" helps, of course. :)

  • i got both videos(yours and tadashimori's)

    great thing you work together!

  • It's beautiful.

And i love the way u did the video:)

  • lol. i used to no how to make these. but i would end up ripping the paper in the end

  • wow, simple and beautiful.

  • I've always loved that little lotus.

  • woohooooooo first comment! lovely flower!
